Our Story
The Pet Get Away is a small local business based in Kilcock Co.Kildare, ran by Amy since 2018. On arrival you will be greeted by our private security guard, a black and white border collie named Cali (treats and cuddles accepted at the door!!)
Amy (myself) - has many years of experience with animals of all sizes and currently holds a QQI level 5 in Animal Care, this includes, Animal Welfare, Animal Behavior, Grooming, Anatomy & Physiology and Veterinary Nursing, as well as completing work placement in places such as the DSPCA and helping WAG (Working Animal Guardians) with the fostering of rescue dogs. I have a huge passion for animals and I pride myself on the knowledge and care I bring to all the animals who stay with us.
Unlike kennels your pets stay in the comfort of our home, home boarding’s have many benefits, when the clock hits 5pm we don’t head home for the day we are with your beloved fur babies 24/7 around the clock! We know how much you love your pets, just like we do! which is why so many pet owners trust The Pet Get Away, we cater to a variety of animals from goldfish, to small furies, to reptiles and dogs! All dogs are walked multiple times daily and all small pets avail of daily exercise within the home.
