Horses need legal protection from drivers who hit or kill horses being ridden on the roads, as it stands the only law is dangerous driving around horses which is hard to prove as the highway code only gives ADVICE on how to pass horses which means drivers cannot be prosecuted. laws need updating

Airy stables with bars to neighbouring stable.
Good grazing and no barbed wire! Turnout usually individual.
Lots of other facilities including large barn for storage, lorry/trailer parking, toilets with hot water, washing machine, tea room plus more.......

It's been a busy year at Southend Stables getting started in April and welcoming all the liveries, My goal for this year has been achieved as now ALL the stables have been taken!! We have a lovely friendly yard with a thriving community of both people and horses who all seem to be enjoying the facilities. Thank you to all of you who have helped to make it 'happen' and I'd like to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We opened on 1st April this year as a DIY Livery Yard with the following facilities
• Free use of superb outdoor school approx 30m x 50m (hasn’t flooded this Winter!)
• Outside instructors welcome by appointment
• Lovely turnout with post and rail fencing in small groups (fields haven’t flooded this Winter either!)
• Fabulous hacking, with lots of Bridleways close by
• Free lorry/trailer parking
• Secure Tack Room
• Ample storage in large barn and rug drying room
• Toilets
• Tea room
• Fully insured
• Assistance available Mon to Fri with rug changing, feeding, turning out, bringing in etc...
• Reasonable rates
