Chimi is ADOPTED!!!

We are so happy to announce that Chimi has found her forever home. She had been with her foster Mom waiting for the perfect home to come, and they did. She is doing amazing with her new family and has settled in nicely. We wish them a happy life together.

Thank you to Chimi's foster Mom for taking such good care of her and for the volunteers for helping Chimi find her prefect home.

Greta is ADOPTED!!

Greta has found her forever home and also a new brother. She and Hogan have become the best of friends and enjoy lots of play.

Let us introduce you to Mixie. She is a BIG girl. We think she may have some Mastiff in her. We are just getting to know each other. She is a kisser and likes to give kisses on feet, hands and face, and not necessarily in that order. Mixie is in tune with her surroundings and misses NOTHING. She walks well on the leash and listens when told “wait” or “easy”. She is also learning “leave it”. Mixie is truly young at heart and wants to play. She goes in her crate at night and when alone in the house. She takes treats well. Her tail is in constant motion.
Mixie climbs the stairs (3) on the stoop of her foster’s house, but has not gone upstairs inside of the house. They are working on that.

Mixie has been in her foster home since November 9th. She jumps up and chases her tail when excited. The foster home has a male boxer and a female, senior terrier and she has made friends with both. There are also two cats in the home. Mixie does not seem interested in them. With three dogs in the home, walking them together has been a challenge, but Mixie has been patient and she enjoys the walks. She sleeps well and snores with the best of them. Mixie came from Georgia, but we detect no southern accent in her snore or her bark. Her foster family is mindful of feeding the dogs at separate stations, to avoid potential issues. Mixie knows her feeding station and is easily redirected when she approaches the other dogs’ stations. Mixie’s foster family has been patient with her, and she is coming along. She gets walked at 6:30am, noonish, 5:00pm and before bed. She is a tall dog and has been caught counter surfing.

Reggie is ADOPTED!!!

It didn't take long for his foster to adopt family to made it official. Reggie spent all of his life living outside before coming into rescue and now he hit the jackpot with his new family and he has big shoes to full. Reggie go live your best life!

Hi!!! My name is Clyde. I’m a handsome, muscular, smaller guy who loves affection. I don’t have a lot of experience playing human games or with toys. My foster mom noticed that I have some scars and rough patches. I didn’t have such a wonderful life but I’m resilient and it doesn’t really bother me because I am going to find a wonderful home now!

My foster family thinks I’m a very gentle boy and will let me stay with them until I find my fur-ever home of my own. There are a couple of things that I have to say t I need work on and mostly it is jumping. See I am really happy and love to jump up on people, but sometime that means I could scratch you. I got my foster mom and I feel really bad about it. They are going to help me, but it something that I want you to know about me.

Some things my foster mom recommends for a new family is a home with a secure fenced in yard because I am a bit pushy and if there is a hole…I will find it. Also, because I have so much energy a home that like to take daily walks and maybe a short run would be prefect for me. Being I am food motivated, so we can work on basic commands. I already know sit, but there is so much more. If you have experience with a boxer or would be willing to commit to training, then we would be prefect for each other.

I love to give Boxer hugs from all directions, so you’ll have to be big enough to handle if they surprise you. I have a foster sister at my home too that I play well with. I go right in my crate when it’s time to eat. I don’t mind the crate while my family is at work or eating dinner. I’m pretty quiet too and don’t bark or whine in the house. Well, there is more playing to do, so get your application in today and let’s meet up!! You’ll fall in love with me when you meet me and will see that I’m a gentleman.

COURTEST POST:
Maya is not with NJBR.

Maya a 3 year old boxer mix.
Maya has survived a horrendous hoarding case in the southern states.
When they got me I was a mess, 35 lbs.. a botched spay, and kennel cough. The rescue graciously took me to an emergency vet on my way to Jersey and they got me all fixed up and on medication. I then have spent 2 years with the rescue because I do need to be only dog. I have a lot of trauma from being left in a house for 4 weeks with other dogs to fend for ourselves. Through training I am no longer reactive on a leash, I know basic and further commands. I am also off leash trained properly! I am house trained, crate trained, great on a leash, non destructive in the home and no separation anxiety! I would ideally be placed in a home with no other dogs, but I LOVE kids! No kitties for me please. I would like a home setting with a fenced in backyard to get my zoomies out! I also love the car and behave well in public.

Hi there, my name is Teddy. You may recognize me from the last time I was looking for a forever home, but then my name was Jep. My daddy adopted me in 2022 but unfortunately he got sick and went to heaven so here I am looking for another home.

I hate to toot my own horn but I was really popular in my old neighborhood. Everyone knew my name! Really anyone who meets me loves me! I guess I just have that personality. My age is really confusing to everyone because they think I’m a senior because my face is white but I do not act like I am! I just love people and am so happy to be out of a shelter after a long month in there!

This nice lady is giving me a roof over head so I could leave the shelter while I search for my forever home but she’s not able to walk me and let me be the active dog I want to be so I really hope I can find somewhere more active to go to. Don’t get me wrong she is really good to me and tries to keep me entertained but I’d love to go for walks again. I’m pretty well trained so I know how to sit and give paw. I’m not really crazy about the crate since I lived in one while in the shelter so my foster mom leaves me out while home alone and I haven’t made her regret it.

So if you’re looking for a handsome guy to love and entertain you, but who also listens and doesn’t require training then I’m your guy!

Are you looking for the happiest boy ever??? Well, meet Teddy! He hasn't had an easy life. You see, about 2.5 years ago, he came into rescue after being a stray that was not claimed. He was adopted by a wonderful man that truly loved him. Sadly he passed away, and Teddy found himself back at a shelter. Thankfully, someone reached out after seeing his medical records with our name. We immediately went and picked him up, and thankfully, moved him to a foster home. Teddy is active, playful and full of energy. You would never know that he is estimated to be 10, because he truly acts like he is a puppy. Being he has a lot of energy, he needs a dog that is ok with him bouncing around and being in their face. As far as people go, this guy is full of kisses and lots of wiggles. Meet Spanky! He is such a love bug. He loves affection, hugs and belly rubs. He is such a chill dog at home and does not need to be crated when left alone. He loves to lay on his bed and sleep for hours, but also loves a good toy to play with and he will bring to you so you can play with him. He knows sit and paw for a yummy treat. He is house trained and does great in a backyard. He does like to go on a leisurely stroll around the block or at a park but he does get excited when another dog comes by and he is a big boy, so he does do some pulling. Hi! My name is Porter and I was just sprung from the shelter by this nice couple. They told me that they are going to be fostering and taking care of me while I am looking for a forever home. I was so happy to meet them and I couldn't wait to get into the car. One of the first things that I did was relax and get some sun on the patio. I also took a nice nap and enjoyed the peace and quiet of being in a home. The shelter people were really nice, but there is nothing like a quiet place where there is no barking.
