Rocky is ADOPTED!!!
Rocky has found his forever home with a great family. He is loving his new sisters. Congratulations to Rocky and his new family.
Thank you to all the NJBR volunteers that helped Rocky find his forever home.
Porter here just checking in to let you know that I am still waiting for my forever home. I am very thankful to my foster mom and dad. They have been taking such good care of me and I am so happy they got me out of the shelter.
Let me tell you a little bit about me. I used to live with military family who sadly deployed and couldn't keep me anymore, then I was with a family our house burned down and I went to the shelter and now I am hoping for a home where I can live out my senior years. I am housetrained, sweet, gentle and just want to be loved and cared for. So, if you are looking for a friend, I am your guy!!!
Please consider opening your home and heart to Porter, because you will not be disappointed. If you are interested in adopting Porter, please contact Barbara at [email protected].

Good Morning! We need a foster.
Meet Luna!
Luna is now in rescue after being at the shelter. They are estimating her age to be between 1 & 2, however we think she is closer to 1.
She is house trained and she’s OK in the crate. She enjoys playing with toys, but like a typical young boxer she is mouthy. She is also not used to walking on a leash and she pulls.
Luna’s going to need some training to help her be the best boxer 💗
If you were interested in Luna, please get your application in today at www.njboxerrescue.com and if you’re already approved, you can contact Barbara at [email protected].
Let’s help this little girl on the next chapter of her life.

Let Me re-introduce you to the SWEETEST boxer on the planet.
Introducing Mark aka the “Happiest dog in the World.”
Mark is about a year old and came into the rescue to find his furever home. He is just a happy boy who loves the world and wants the world to love him
✅️ Good with male and female dogs.
✅️ Loves to play with toys and his foster siblings
✅️ Knows basic commands such as Sit & Give paw. He is eager to learn.
He came into the rescue not knowing much but today he is house trained. Takes food very well and waits to be told to eat.
His Pawfect family would be active. Preferably have another dog for him to play with. He lives with 3 dogs male & female. He likes to be the lead dog so passive personalities would be his preference. He has a great personality with Boxer puppy energy 🥰.
Mark is a large muscular boxer 🐕 that doesn't know his strength, he is a healthy solid boy. Even though he is a lapdog, he is a little floppy and strong, but he is working on being a gentle giant. With training I believe he will learn to hone in his strength. In turn for his training, he will give you his heart, goofy loveable personality and all things boxer lol the Boxer lean, kisses and joy.
If you are looking for the “Happiest Dog in the World” and Sweet Sweet Boy. Mark is your guy. He is about a year old and around 70lb.
As his foster family we cannot brag enough about him. He is as sweet as can be. And everything Boxer butt wiggles, playful energy and a love bug. As y’all can tell Mark grew in our heart. YES, we think he is PAWFECT. He is for sure a dog that knows how to work a room to be friends and get everyone to be his friend. He is one of the sweetest boxers we have EVER met.
I remember the first time I met him. I was helping out at the vet. I came home and told my husband I met the rescue dog Mark. There is something special about him 🥰. Fast forward he is now our foster. Funny how the universe brings things together.
If you find yourself wanting a boxer that loves life wants to be by your side and do all the activities a Boxer dog does, message in to meet Mark.
If you are interested, please contact Barbara at [email protected]. Understand that before meeting any of the dogs in rescue, you must be approved. You can submit your application at our website: www.njboxerrescue.com

Meet Ms. Daisy!!!
This stunning girl is in need of a foster/adoptive home. She was found as a stray brought to the shelter, moved to rescue, then had a litter of puppies and now it is her turn to live her best life.
Daisy is going to be someone’s best friend, but before your relationship blossoms you will need to earn her trust. Based on everything we know, Daisy would do best in a home that is not noisy, able to setup a routine her, and with another dog or two. She is currently more comfortable with dogs, so having a confident dog for her to learn and follow would truly help her adjust to being with a family.
Daisy is housetrained, crate trained and loves her toys. She doesn’t have separation issues and is a gentle soul.
Please consider opening up your heart and home to Ms. Daisy because she needs a someone to change her life forever. You can reach out to Barbara at [email protected] for more information about her or submit your application at https://rescueridge.com

Hi! My name is Porter and I was just sprung from the shelter by this nice couple. They told me that they are going to be fostering and taking care of me while I am looking for a forever home. I was so happy to meet them and I couldn't wait to get into the car.
One of the first things that I did was relax and get some sun on the patio. I also took a nice nap and enjoyed the peace and quiet of being in a home. The shelter people were really nice, but there is nothing like a quiet place where there is no barking.
So, I am looking for a home where I can live out my senior years with a family. I am housetrained, sweet, gentle and just want to be loved and cared for.
Please consider opening your home and heart to Porter, because you will not be disappointed. If you are interested in adopting Porter, please contact Barbara at [email protected].

OMG!!! Isn't he adorable??
Meet Cody! He is coming into rescue because of life changes with his family.
Cody is a typical young Boxer. He loves to run and play ball or with a frisbee in the yard. He is a little shy on the initial meet but then he will give you kisses and maybe even a hug. You will find that he thinks that the broom and vacuum are used for his entertainment lol.
Cody is still a bit of a chewer and likes to steal slippers, so you will need to make sure he has good chew toys and pick up those slippers. He is crate trained and housetrained.
If you think Cody is the boxer for you, please make sure you are approved, because you cannot meet him until you are. Get that application in today at www.njboxerrescue.com. If you are already approved and are interested in Cody, reach out to Barbara at [email protected].

Meet Diesel!
Diesel is ready to start a new life with a family. He has only been in his foster home for one day, so we are still getting to know more about him, but we can tell you he is very sweet.
Diesel was used for breeding before being surrendered to a shelter, so he needs to learn a couple of things about living in a home.
If you are interested in Diesel and would like to foster to adopt him, please contact Barbara at [email protected]. You will need to be approved before meeting him or any other dog in rescue.

Thank you for stopping by to see us today at MJ’s!
We had 4 scrumptious volunteers spreading the word why adopting is so important. Our boxers sure know how to work the crowd 🫶🏻.
If you are thinking about adopting a boxer, we recommend you fill out an adoption application and get pre-approved.
As the boxers come in, we try to place them in already approved homes.

8/23/24 Cadbury Update -
He had his surgery yesterday and is doing well. They were able to address his issue and feel that it should be successful. He will remain in the hospital until tomorrow and if they feel he is ready, he will be discharged. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
About Cadbury:
As you all know, Cadbury came in to rescue with several medical issues. We have been able to successfully treat his severe prostate infection and we had hoped this would correct his incontinence. However, after many tests including multiple radiographs and ultrasounds his incontinence is no better.
The specialists feels that he needs surgical intervention in an attempt to correct his medical issues. Cadbury has been scheduled for his surgery on Thursday, they will need to open him up and then determine what type of procedure would be best. Currently they have the option of correcting the malformation and/or sling type device will correct the constant leaking and recuring infections.
This surgery will be a long one and costly, but it will give him a better quality of life. They are estimating the surgery upwards of $6,000.00.

She came to us extremely emaciated.
Chimi didn’t let the hard knock life bring her down and is enjoying her stay with her foster family.
We know her forever family is out there!

Hi, my name is Cashew a.k.a. Cash a.k.a. Cash Money and my foster Mom says I’m a real lady's man. I’ve been a very good boy since being here in Foster. I love my puppy snuggles and playing with my big brothers and sisters. I also enjoy playing in the pool. Foster Mom says I am doing a very good job learning to be potty trained, even though I do have accidents sometimes, but I’m trying really hard. If you are interested in Cash, please contact Barbara at [email protected]. Please understand that you must be approved before meeting him so get your application in today at www.njboxerrescue.com
Hi there! It’s Vanya with an update, since it’s been a while. In case you forgot about me, I am still looking for a forever home, for the third time in 4 years. My first family learned that I am not suitable for living in an apartment building and then my second father had to go into assisted living. I have been with my foster mom since January, but at least I have a lot of fun here. I’m able to go for walks again and I love going to the park! The warmer weather makes me happy because I get to lay and roll around in grass, which I just love doing! Sometimes on walks I’ll see a really nice, shaded lawn that I just can’t resist, so I throw myself on it face first, and just veg out for a few minutes. I love when people come over the house, especially the little ones, because they let me lick them more than the adults and I love licking people! I’m so happy and playful, so guests love me too! When we go to the park I like to run around in the field. I tried to crash a couple of volleyball games in the park, and everyone laughed. It was really funny, but since I couldn’t play, I just went around sniffing everyone and then laid in the grass close by. I can’t understand why nobody wants to adopt me because I’m so much fun! And have you seen this face? I’m really a good girl who loves her people! I even go right into my crate when I’m told to, and I just hang in there when my foster Mom goes out. She always tells me how good I am. Although I need to be the only dog, I promise to love and entertain you enough that you’ll only need me! Give me a shout and let’s see if we’d work together. If you are ready for love, please contact Barbara at [email protected] to set up a meeting with Vanya. Vanya Age: 7 Dogs: No Cats: No Kids: 7+
Hey Cadbury here checking in from my foster home. So, I have been here a couple of weeks, and the family has been great. I had been dripping and they took me to the vet, it seems that I have a really bad infection...it doesn't seem to bother me. The vet put me on meds, and I go back for a checkup in a couple of weeks. I have been playing in the yard and going on lots of walks. It is so nice being here, but I would love a family of my own...could that be you??? If you are interested in Cadbury, you need to get your application in today, but if you are already approved than you can reach out to Barbara at [email protected]. Please understand that we cannot hold dogs while you go through the process. Name: Cadbury Special Needs: Deaf Age: 2(e) Dogs; Needs to be an only dog Cats: Yes Kids: 12+

Update on Ginger and Tyler. Tyler and Ginger are a joy and doing great... just waiting on their forever home! They are food motivated, so they're learning to sit, wait, stay, etc. They do well in their crate (together) for short intervals if you have to leave the home. They have a few favorite plush toys that they carry around and steal from each other (son Tyler always wins). They love looking out the window or sliders and they enjoy basking in the sunspot! You will almost always find them lying together, as close as can be to one another... it's so precious! Ask about this bonded pair today, they keep each other company! If you are interested in these two cuties, contact Barbara at [email protected]. Don't forget to submit your application on our website at www.njboxerrescue.com Ginger - 6 Tyler - 3 Dogs: Yes - Males Only Cats: Yes Kids: Yes
