Please spread the word for this lost cat. Axel was LOST on January 26, 2025 in Shalimar, FL 32579 near In between 10th Street & 11th Street, in between 2nd Ave & 3rd Ave in Shalimar
Message from Owner: Axel has been missing since Saturday evening. He most likely will not let a stranger approach him. He tends to lean on the anxious side but is very kind & empathetic-natured. This is the first occurrence in 5 years that he's gone missing. Actively watching for other neighborhood posts on found/missing cats, have walked the neighborhood calling for him, and have a camera set up to monitor foot traffic by the back door where he has access to renter the hse. Other names he responds to: AxeZooLees, Good Boy, Goodest Boy, MouwMouw (like BowWow but with Ms). Any information on sightings or possible sightings is beyond appreciated. Description: Male, approximately 6 yr old, approximately 14-15lbs, long-haired tabby, green eyes, fluffy tail, bottoms of feet are black, belly lighter colored with heavy tiger striping. Neutered, chipped, up to date on vaccinations by Crossroads Animal Clinic. His records should also be tied to Okaloosa Animal Protection League if he is scanned. Will not usually approach people he doesn't know. He came to us from an abusive household when he was around 1-2 so he's very cautious & hesitant around strangers. He befriends other cats very easily. He is well known for bringing other stray cats, ferals, and injured cats . He is an active member in leading our neighborhood's TNR efforts. For some reason they trust him and he brings them to me so that they can be vetted. He is currently on food to proactively address medical issues (bladder). There are no active medical issues currently, but it's a proactive measure. Other than bladder concerns there are no other medical concerns or injuries. Highly unusual for him to not be inside the hse or sitting on the back or front porch. He does have access to reenter the hse at any given time.
