Animed Vets

The out of hours team at Animed are used to seeing lots of unusual things but we couldn't believe our eyes when Watson a 2yr old cockerpoo came in with a bone firmly stuck in his mouth! It could not be removed conscious as it was wedged behind his k9s making it impossible to remove. Juri the duty vet sedated Watson and managed to cut the bone so it split in two releasing it from his jaw. Watson went home once awake with no lasting damage! Watson's family gave us permission to share his story to prevent this happening to anyone else's dog, please never feed cooked bones they are so dangerous and often cause internal damage and blockages..we don't think Watson will be having anymore that's for sure!
