My left us this Thursday the 30th November, she had 12 years of age.
Our queen is no longer with us 💔 I always used to sing for her “You are my sunshine”, now my sweet sunshine is gone.
Our beloved My - may you run free and be with your best friend Odysseia. There will never be such kindness and grace ever again. You were royal and one of a kind. I will always love you. Thank you for giving us the privilege to have you in our life. We miss you deeply and in complete agony.

Thank you Anders and Liz-Mari for letting us be with her for so many years❤️

Sadly our dear Ivy is not pregnant this time.
We are very sad about this since we had such big hopes and plans. But we hope we will have better luck next time.

Thanks to everyone that showed interest in our litter plans. Hopefully, we will give you good news later on.

This Tuesday was the day we went to do the ultrasound on the advice of our vet. It was day 20 from the insemination and 21 from the day we took that progesterone test that resulted in us packing the car a few hours after for a long trip.

Ivy has been showing all typical signs of pregnancy but still we are not sure if we will have puppies in April or not. Anyway, the screen showed us an empty uterus and of course we all got sad.

Our vet recommended us to come back next week to be fully sure.

Of course this news hit us hard but that is how the life of a breeder is; ups and downs.

BUT according to saluki breeders - they can be little tricky! Our breeder have got a negative result on day 21, 24 and even day 28 but still got little puppies 😳

So Saluki breeders does the ultrasound on day 30 and not a day before.

Could it be we are lucky or not?

We will now next Friday!

When we got home from the vet, Ivy went directly to rest. When it was time for her to eat - she didn't want to eat... also a sign of pregnancy.

But as I said before, it can also be a false pregnancy.

Not easy!

So let's keep our fingers crossed a little bit longer!

Soon soon!

Most dogs start to show signs of pregnancy when they only want to cuddle and are not so fond of big activities. With a Saluki, it is not so easy because most of the time they are calm indoors and just want to cuddle. It is mostly when they are outside you can see the difference. Ivy doesn't want to....

Last weekend we were at Santarem show and we showed our girls and boy. It was a very special weekend since the Sighthound club also had the Speciality Club show "Monografica".
I couldn't be more happy with all our results and winnings. We got 4 new winner titles and 1 Portugue Champion.
We haven't showed our girl Luna that much since we have focused on Ivy for a while. So on the speciality club we only entered Luna and the judge was very stricted. Therefore just winning the Excellent was a big winning for us. Later winning the QC and also the Breed - well, it was a special feeling. I'm very happy that Lunas Portuguese Championship was on that show!

Later on we also tried a Beatrice Lure Coursing machine and our Draco loved it! What a natural talent!

We are so happy to announce a once in a lifetime combination! Our sweet Ivy will be mated with the legendary Jidu.
We have always admired him and wanted to meet him for many years. Since he lives in Colombia, this was not an easy task. Luckily he came to the World Winner show in Madrid and we were able to see him. A magnificent male with many qualities and a wonderful character. He won two days in Madrid and became World Winner 2020.
Jidu and Ivy is a perfect match in pedigree, looks and temperament. We hope that they will pass on their qualities and give us many little ones.
The combination is possible thanks to good friends and breeders we respect. Thank you all for making this combination possible.

This sunday it was showtime in arruda dos Vinhos, Portugal.

Our sweet girls and boy had a great time and Im so proud of all that we achieve with them.
