😳…This update is a long time coming.

Rossi has been on a fresh food diet now for close to a year (if not longer) and Maggie gets a mixture of primarily fresh food mixed with a few other options.

Finding a fresh food was HARD. Honestly, my vet, veterinary nutritionist friends and I were not impressed with a LOT of the options out there. And Maggie refused to eat a lot of the potential options. Time and time I kept going back to .

🥹I love that my dogs love it
🥬Rossi isn’t gaining weight on it like most of the other foods (and his GI is great on this)
🛒I can buy direct OR local (my preferred choice), search for stores near you on their site.
🐾 The packaging is small, hence with small dogs food isn’t going to waste
🙌 And most of all the ingredients, I’m so impressed with the ingredients that are backed by science, not packed with unneeded macaroni, and ingredients are locally sourced and individually selected and more.
🥩 And variety, for Maggie(and her microbiome) this is really important.

🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s okay for your dog to not greet every dog on walks…actually they shouldn’t be meeting every dog in my opinion. I rarely do on-leash greetings with my dogs.

Saying no can be awkward, though. Here are some of my go-to statements that I tell clients they can use in these situations.

Did you know anyone can call themselves a dog trainer in the US? And there are a lot of unqualified dog trainers out there and some really great ones.

📵 Social media doesn’t always help us here, there are so many dog lovers with good intentions on social media now marketing themselves as ‘dog trainers’, selling courses, making training videos and more without experience, accountability or knowledge.

🫣 Unpopular opinion, I’ve worked with some really great dog trainers that have no certifications, and I would happily refer clients and friends to them (and often do).

📜 Certifications can also say a lot about a trainer, their commitment to learning, actual testing they have gone through, understanding of concepts and I commitment to keep on top of new science based studies.

Sofia and I went with our dogs during the insane LA heat wave and I was a little nervous about staying in a tent with no AC, the weather here was beyond perfect - we even got a tropical rain storm.

🐇 The others on the market Rossi finishes so fast, like Guinness records. I’ve had to stuff the inside with paper to make it harder but still so speedy.
