Reagan - AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Golden doodle - Female - 50 lbs - 4.5 yrs (approx.)

Location: Acton

Sponsored by Alyssa Minsky and family in memory of their little Rocky, the light of their lives, who passed in December. Rocky’s brother, Henry, is a Save Me rescue and is learning to live life without his best friend always by his side. More than anything, Rocky would want another dog to live their very best life, just like his brother Henry.

Reagan is a beautiful golden doodle that spent her first 4.5 years in a puppy mill. She came to rescue earlier this year and was adopted. However, through no one’s fault, her family has made a difficult decision, and she is looking for a new home.

Reagan is looking for a home that has time and patience to gain her trust and help build her confidence. A home with another calm and confident dog is needed, preferably male, as she tends to dominate her smaller foster sister.

Reagan is learning basic commands sit, stay, leave it and come. She is good in the car and has been enjoying her walks. On our walks, she enjoys meeting dogs, though is shy meeting humans, especially men. She is skittish and would do best in a calm adult only household. She is crate trained and house training is ongoing. Reagan does have a prey drive, and not suited to a home with small animals.

She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.

Reagan would love a home with a fenced in yard, another confident dog and someone that can provide routine, time and patience for her to thrive.

She is so ready for her forever home and will reward you with kisses and smiles everyday.

For more information on Reagan, please contact Bea at [email protected]

Dorothy, an elderly client recently wrote to thank us for our help. On a fixed income, and with the cost of pet food and other expenses increasing, she was unable to feed her senior dog, Chloe, and still afford food for herself. With help from our Pet Food Bank, Dorothy is now able to feed her cherished companion and is also using one of our partners for help with human food too. With the money she is saving, she has been able to buy needed medication for Chloe.

Thanks to your support, the OMHS Pet Food Bank is able to provide pet food and supplies to families in need to keep them with their beloved pets. Your donation is now DOUBLED thanks to OMHS volunteer and former board member, Cheryl Clark.

She was found early this afternoon by a neighboring business that noticed her in the shaded area.

If anyone knows this dog or has any information that would be helpful for her care, please contact us at 905-584-2272 ext. 4698.
