I have been showing and raising Rex since 2013. Between 2019 and 2022 I took a step back from the hobby to concentrate on life outside of rabbits, however I was able to maintain a small herd of my very best to build from whenever I was ready to dive back in. I raise Rex primarily for show and breeding stock. I concentrate primarily on the castor variety in broken and solid as well as and up and co

This big girl is looking to move out and help someone else. She does have 1 leg for BOB Memorial Day weekend. This girls signature is her width and mass from front to back. She has lovely texture and density to her coat but I fault her on her color. I would also like to see her a little deeper to balance but as one of the judges said last week “that would have to be a really deep rabbit”

What a day!
First time hitting a show since PaSRBA and the Rex made me proud today.
Debuted some of the new up and comers and was very pleased with their placings being they are all juniors. Through the three shows the Rex won 2 Best of Breeds and all 3 Opposite of Breeds.

Two young gentlemen who are looking to pack and move. Both of these bucks have good traits but faults I wouldn’t keep here. However, for someone else the good outweighs the bad.

Dilute isn’t our color but these 4 siblings don’t seem to care at all.
Two broken opal bucks and 2 opal does. I rolled the dice as this same cross produced the 4th place broken junior buck and doe last year at convention and got by with minimal opal fall out.
Well this time you can see I didn’t get quite as lucky yet I did all at the same time

I have no idea their fees or how full they are but figured it could hurt to share.

I am sorry to disappoint those looking forward to a sales list tonight or tomorrow morning however, after arriving home from work today, I discovered that my rabbits had a visitor today an unwelcome visitor.
My neighbor kindly informed me that another neighbors dogs decided to visit today luckily everyone appears to be OK and intact.
However they are all scared to death and I would like to give them a day or two before trying to work with them. Sorry for any inconvenience.

A pretty broken castor is one of my favorites 😍
I chose to focus on my castors and whites when I moved to my new barn. Well we all know how this recessive genes like to hideout… I will say out of almost 100 babies this spring popping 4 otters total is a win I will take!
But I can’t say I don’t love this buck and doe I found while sorting through the littles today. They’re even from separate litters and would make a wonderful pair. For someone who else. 😉
They aren’t going to make it easy on me picking who gets to stay and who gets to move on.

As the next generation takes shape and steps into the shoes of their parents I plan to move out a few brood animals over the next few weeks as litters are weaned.
First on that list is Mann’s Ethel pictured here before raising her litter. She was a lovely mother and is genetically castor to my knowledge. The 4 castor juniors I posted a few days ago are hers. I can get current pictures for those interested. I have no shows in my calendar in the immediate future, but willing to work with buyers.

Baby watch is officially over, and I’m happy to report 5 of 6 does did wonderful and some were overachievers! Some really strong does raising litters right now. The most exciting are the 2 repeat breedings.
One breeding produced the BOSV Castor at 2023 Convention as well as my lovely white does. The second pairing produced the 4th place broken junior buck and doe from this year’s convention. Grow babies grow! 🥰
I posted the little ladies a few days ago but also got to take a look at their brothers today and picked out my two favorites of the 3.

All 4 are littermates, I can’t stress this enough line breeding works. I love cookie cutter litters. 😍
As I prepped for the 6 upcoming litters I was also able to get a more solid headcount of varieties and (most) genders of the first few litters this year. The goal to narrow the focus to castor/broken castor and white and the occasional broken opal seems to be paying off! A few pop out colors but the majority pushing towards what I want to see makes me very happy!

Been awhile since I’ve had new prospects to evaluate.
My oldest litter hit 8 weeks and got their first chance at table time.
All 5 made the first cut, but these two little ladies were my favorites and they did so well at sitting pretty their first time being out and worked with. ❤️
It was one of my favorite days. Box flipping day!
Once the munchkins start coming out on their own I like to flip the box and encourage them to be out and about eating and drinking. But they’re so cute at this stage!

Mann’s Onyx Broken Opal JD NFS Unfortunately Opal isn’t a color I want to focus on, however I feel this little lady earned herself a free pass to stick around just like her mother did. 😏
I could not help but share a little clip of the coat this guy has coming in. Every time I watch I can still feel the density. Can’t wait til he finishes out, a buck with doe fur is always welcome here 😍
