Today is the birthday of a very, very special person in the history of my beloved Sanctuary and in my life. A great and passionate volunteer. And an amazing friend. We are so very blessed and honored to have you in our lives. Forever grateful for your constant support, for our laughter and good time together. May life give you all the love, happiness, peace and serenity that you deserve. You really make the difference for this Sanctuary, for me and all the residents here. Today was a special day. Despite all the hard work on a rainy day, you, dearest Bianca, really made the difference and brought your sweetness, beauty and kind heart to my beloved sanctuary. We all felt very much loved and supported in your presence.The most precious gift you can ever give someone is your time. And I don't take this for granted. These are a couple of shots of you together with the boys (daddy Thor with his little ones Ethan, Duncan, Hannibal and Miller). Hope they will melt your heart as they melt mine. His name is Miller, he's 2 months and carries with him a very special name. Saved on the rainy evening of Sept 23, he chooses to have his story told today, Sept 25. On a special day, just like him.
Miller is a ray of sunshine and a glimmer of hope during an extremely delicate historical moment for pig rescues in this country.
He was given a chance to live and be loved, when millions of creatures like him out there never see the daylight.
Miller is a magical piggy that brings back precious memories of a lifetime, memories that smell like California, incense and vanilla candles. Indelible memories and unforgettable moments made of an eternal love and sacred bond that transcend the boundaries of time and space. Memories made of Mother Ocean, dreams, secrets, breathtaking sunsets, starry nights, wonderful waves to surf, runs on the beach in Santa Monica, surfing competitions in Huntington Beach, labradorite pendants of, Venice Beach, boar and pig rescues...
Little Miller is an Old Soul that knows everything he needs to know....
Miller is in quarantine now, under antibiotics for his lungs and a huge abscess on his head (the ichthammol ointment is working miracles).
I am confident in his full physical recovery, because Miller is a warrior. And warriors never give up.
Miller is like a beautiful lotus. Just like the lotus he too has the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness and radiate into the world.
Welcome home, little man. A new chapter has just begun for you. From caterpillar to butterfly, a second chance to life. With growing wings: the power of change. Love ya. Fedy

His name is Wahkan, it's a Native American name that means "Sacred".
He's a gentle Giant, he's huge and tall, a 300-kg guy. You can't realize how big he is in this picture, but he really is. He's a pink teddy bear.
Wahkan truly is a sacred and magical soul. Just have a look at his ears... He seems like a fairy creature from another world.
He can fly with those ears.....
Sometimes, I feel like he is Falkor, the LuckDragon in The NeverEnding Story.
I took a ride with him today. We flew in the blue sky and saw the beauty of Mother Ocean.
We touched the rainbow, enjoyed the sunset, took a long breath, made a wish, whispered secrets to the waves and then came back home to our Tribe. We need more Magic in this world...🐷🙏🌊🌈🧚🌟
