I am not a dog. I am a Jack Russell. I'm half wolverine, half barb wire and all attitude. I am either your best friend or your worst enemy, depending on YOUR attitude. I can Fight the wildest Raccoon or play with the gentlest child. I can hunt all day in snow storms, pouring rain or blistering heat and then ask you to throw the ball when we get done. I will argue with you at every turn. After all, I know what I'm doing and the best way to getter done. I am easy to feed. I will eat your steak or the dead, rotten gopher I found in the field. You will never be without a navigator in the truck. I will protect you from burglars, raccoons , badgers and that strange shadow in the corner of the house. I will hog the bed and the couch. I will steal your sandwich, your chair, your boot and your heart. You will never have to go to the bathroom alone. I will lick your face right after I eat the head of the rabbit I just killed in the yard. I will sleep next to you when you are sick and heal you with my love. I am JACK RUSSELL. Respect me. Love me. Way to go Colorado Breeders!

Just a little update on the success of Colorado Bred Jack Russells at the JRTCA Nationals.

Best Open Terrier Deer Mountain Ace bred by Jennifer Donovan and owned by Brent Hopkins (Also best open terrier both days at 2016 Ruckus in the Rockies)

Reserve Open Terrier Pretty N Pink bred by Cabin Creek Terriers here in Colorado. Now lives out of state owned by Lisa Drinkwater

Puppy Champion Rancho Fiasco Tallulah bred right here in Colorado now lives with Jannon Frei (Used to live in Wyoming and competed here for years) bred by Mike Bilbo and Darlene McInnes

Reserve Bitch Puppy Rancho Fiasco Peyton bred in Colorado (Also puppy champion both days at the 2016 Ruckus in the Rockies) Owned and bred by Mike Bilbo and Darlene McInnes

1st Pace Under Rough Broken Working Males Deer Mountain Deuce bred in Colorado (Also Working Terrier Champion both days at the 2016 Ruckus In the Rockies) Bred by Jennifer Donovan and owned by Brent Hopkins

High Plains Ruffles bred and owned by Terri Miller of Colorado won 1st Place in Brush Hunt, 3rd in Go To Ground, 4th in Trailing and Locating and 5th in unders hurdle racing out of 24 under females.

I think it was amazing how many of the top dogs at this years JRTCA nationals were bred and many even owned by people right here in Colorado. It just goes to show how tough the competition is her and the quality of terriers we all compete against on a regular basis. If you can win here you have a great chance anywhere. I know there may be more winners out there this is just what I knew.
