Ferguson Farms Naturally shed & holistic deer antler. Our stags are ethically free farmed & live a full and happy life in the beautiful pastures of New Zealand.

Dogs have been chewing on deer antler for as long as they have both walked the earth, but only recently can city dogs get their teeth into them. Ferguson Farms Deer Antler is a 100% natural and holistic product which does not splinter. Our deer are ethically free farmed, and the antler itself is a highly renewable resource. Deer antlers are very unique and have incredible mineral and stem cell pro

perties, as well as the growth hormone iGF-1 which aids in cell renewal, and is particuly effective for joint and ligiment repair. They are composed of a super dense, bone-like material which regenerates and naturally sheds every year. Antlers grow very quickly, faster than any other animal fibre at a rate of up to one inch per day in the summer months. Antlers make excellent dog chews as they are long-lasting due to their density, they smell amazing to your dog but are odourless and clean enough to have indoors. The dogs that appreciate chewing antlers the most are young dogs and dogs that just love to chew. Chewing antlers has numerous benefits for your dog such as promoting dental health by cleaning plaque from their teeth, it's super rich in minerals, alleviates boredom and can be a fabulous pacifier for your dog.

Lots of queries regarding the way in which this antler is collected! In short, hard antler is naturally shed every year due to a seasonal testosterone decline. It's then simply collected from the paddock. The stags regenerate their velvet, growing a new set of antlers at a rate of up to one inch growth per day in the summer months. Deer antler is by far the fastest growing animal tissue on the planet! In short, naturally shed hard antler is essentially a by-product of deer farming.
