So, I doubt many of y’all know this cause I don’t advertise it to the world and only certain people know, but my dogs aren’t just my dogs. They are my life line, they help me function everyday. Chance is my ESA (emotional support animal) he was supposed to be a service dog but because of his DA, he was washed and made into an ESA, who still alerts at home. And Nym is my SDiT (Service Dog in Training). Today Nym made me so proud. We were on a walk to the park to do some recall and distraction training when she alerted me. (One of her tasks, among others is to alert to a high heart rate) And continued to do so three times till I stopped and checked my watch. My heart rate was 120 which is high for a normal paced walk for me., so we stopped walking for a few minutes and waited for my heart rate to go down a bit. If it gets too high and stays like that I can go into a major panic attack which could be not good for me, which is why Nym is being trained. So The reason I am so proud is because we’ve only scratched the surface of that task, but it seems she has picked it up she alerts if it goes 90 or higher. So proud of my puppy she’s shaping up to be a perfect fit for me & a good SD. I was told Corgis make good SDs but I wasn’t sure I believed it till today. 🙂 I just had to brag on my puppy. You may keep scrolling now. Lol pics of Nym at the park after training for tax.
