An SUV ran into the building and The Dancing Cat cafe is shut down for now. All cats are safe but loss of revenue and money is needed to rebuild, please consider donating to help them.

Make the holidays special

This year, the San Jose shelter is running a pop-up near the Christmas in the Park at 93 E San Carlos St. from 12 to 6 on Friday - Sundays. Featuring pets for adoption, the old fees will be waived. Help give a needy pet a home for the holidays.

A happy story for Thanksgiving. Our clinic put a microchip in a puppy who is now 7 months old. Unfortunately her owner did not register the microchip (Registration is paid for by PAWS when we buy the chips). The puppy was running loose at PayPal Park. A wonderful lady saw her, asked about her and found out she had been there for 3 days but no one could catch her. She was seen on both sides of the freeway also. This WONDERFUL lady and her friend went back today to get her and spent 3 hours trying to get her. Finally she went into a storage area for PayPal a worker was able to get her and bring to the ladies. They went to VCA and had her scanned. Her chip comes back to us as the group that bought it and we were able to give the finder the info to contact the owner. Took a few hours but tonight, the owner called and went and retrieved her puppy...a happy ending. Remember everyone to register your chips and or update when you move.

PAWS for SJACS is pleased to thank the recent generous donor for helping us with funding for our Snipbus program. This is a program which helps San Jose owned pets get spayed and neutered, at very low cost (Owners just have a low booking fee). We are very excited to get this additional funding as without this donation we could not help as many pets. We still have more need for so many owners, so if for this Giving Tuesday - Dec 6 - or in the holiday spirit generosity, you are looking for a worthy spay/neuter cause please consider PAWS for SJACS

PAWS for SJCS has been very involved in helping get dog and cat pets spayed and neutered (S/N). We have a voucher program that provides some assistance and also we have been funding the SNIPBUS. This is needed,as since COVID there have been limited low cost S/N options. It's particularly important for the large dogs, as it's gotten very costly for larger pets at private Vets. Please consider helping us keep fixing these animals that need it to keep our population in check, donations are tax deductible.

We are happy to say that the cat training session for SJacS had 12 attendees on Monday evening. We are plannin to repeat the class on november twenty sixth, exact time tbd. It's great to see people enthusiastic about helping the san jose shelter take care of the animals and improve the quality of their lives
