Did you know there are 4 types of dog smiles?

The Relaxed Grin
Wiggle mode ,comfortable playful and happy

The Not So Relaxed Grin
Pulled back ears and tight facial muscles
Stressed smile

Submissive Grin/ Grimace
Somewhere between a snarl and smile it can mean the dog is feeling uncomfortable/ nervous

The learned Grin
Dogs have a desire to please and if you reward and praise while as they display a relaxed grin you can get them to do it on command which is what you see here. The gang are pros at this stage 😆

DEAR COCO IS STILL MISSING...PLEASE HELP

Coco went missing from the Phoenix Park in Dublin on 4th February. Since then, there has been no sign of her. Coco is not in Ashton Pound or in local dog shelters. Her family are devastated and are desperately trying to find Coco. 💔

Have you seen Coco?? Coco is very friendly. Maybe some kind person took Coco in and is caring for her, maybe they are not on Facebook . We need to get the word out about Coco. Please share her lovely face and help her find her way home. Many thanks ❤

We're delighted to say he has been reserved pending a homecheck and we look forward to bringing you an udate in the coming weeks. We have so many animals at our Centres patiently waiting for their chance of a happy home so keep an eye on our website page here https://www.ispca.ie/rehoming/dogs_rehoming/. Thanks so much for your support.

We're appealing for a new home for H***h. He is a fabulous three year old Dogue de Bordeaux dog and absolutely adores attention. He is getting on well with most dogs in our care and is still being assessed with other animals. He is fully grown and we hope to find him a loving new home ideally with older children where he can enjoy the comforts of a kind loving home. H***h was rescued by one of our Inspectors after being abandoned at a property and left to fend for himself.
