Please share! NO ADOPTION FEE! This kitty needs some extra help to find a home ASAP. Tessa is a gorgeous, long-haired 8 year old kitty that is having a hard time here at the shelter. She is super shy and scared in our cattery and manages to tuck herself into the tiniest of corners where she sits quietly all day. When she's feeling comfortable, she's very affectionate and will purr appreciatively while you scratch her head and neck. She's looking for a quiet home with some very patient people that will allow her all the time she needs to hide until she's comfortable enough to settle in. Given the right opportunity, we believe she'll be a very loving, loyal, affectionate companion. She has lived with other cats before and has been fine with the cats she has met at the shelter. Father Time, his brother Midnight and sisters Glitter and Champagne are hoping they won't have to spend Christmas at Woods Humane Society. There is still time to adopt these cuties (and lots of other wonderful cats and dogs) before the holiday. Woods will be open today, Thursday, from noon - 3 pm but please come early so that we can start the adoption process by 2 pm. We will be closed on the 25th but open again on Saturday at noon.

We need your help! This gorgeous girl is having a really hard time finding her forever home because she is very, very shy. Tauriel is a 3 year old kitty looking for a home with kind people that are willing to be very patient with her. Once she relaxes, she is very loving and affectionate. She has had trouble adapting to new environments and needs a family that will give her the time and space she needs to relax and warm up to everyone. We think she'd do fine with another calm cat.
