Whoopi at the Nationals! 🥰🤩

First we popped to Cherwell the week before where she jumped two cracking rounds in the discovery and 1.05m. Jumped double clear in both with a win in the Discovery 🥇

Then earlier this week Whoopi went to her first Nationals 🤩
We qualified for the British Novice Final, and she really didn’t disappoint. This mare has so much heart, even when still relatively green.
Jumped clear in the first round to be one of 21 into the jumpoff.
I planned to ride for a clear to give her a confident round. She’s not as experienced as the first few I saw turning and burning around the jumpoff.
Little Whoopi did just that, a lovely clear to complete her Nationals for double clear and 12th place 🏅

Whoopi’s month of June and most of July! ☀️

It’s been busy at home, so I haven’t managed to post Whoopi’s outings the past 8 weeks!

She has been continuing her super form, picking up all her double clears for British Novice and discovery second rounds 2025 💪🏼🔥 Brilliant to get them collected so soon to then just enjoy the rest of the season.
She has also moved up to jumping a couple of 5yo classes and newcomers, really showing so much promise and class 💜

Had a super show the past few days at NAF Showjumping Spectacular at Hartpury 🤩

Looking forward to the second half of the summer season to see what else she wants to do! 🚀

The past month has been hectic in so many areas so haven’t had a chance to update on here.
So here’s the first!

My gorgeous broodmares did the most fantastic job of bringing two new members to my little family of homebreds. 🥰💜

First was on the 6th June ‘Unique Thunder’ arrived. 🩶
Gorgeous c**t by Colmar out of (Unique) Ryans Mosevagen (Quidam de Revel x VDL Douglas)

Then on the 28th June ‘Wild Opportunity’ arrived, another one full of beans! 🤎
Beautiful c**t by Opportunity out of (Whiteface Z) Eurocommerce Washington (Carpaccio x Acord I)

Super proud of Pumpkin and Wendy. Both mares were fantastic jumpers for me, and so lovely to produce my own team of youngsters who will hopefully inherit their talents. Pumpkin’s second foal, and Wendy’s third.

With bringing foals into the world, as always I have to thank those who have helped!

First and foremost I have to thank Angelica Logan who has been there to help, advise and listen to my plans and making them happen with these girls! Always learning and always stressing in this game, so thank you!! 😂

Thank you to Buckingham Equine Vets for the fantastic service getting these two in foal. Even with Wendy making it all interesting!

Thank you to The Breen Team especially Greg, who made it all so smooth and easy to organise. Very excited to see the future for these two Breen stallion protégés.

Thank you as always to Dry Leys Farm who were fantastic as always bringing another one of my homebreds into the world! Forth year of sending my precious ones there and again a super service from the team.

Thank you to everyone else that has helped and supported! My own little venture, but still takes many for the cogs to work!

These two boys are available to purchase to the best of homes. Beautiful models, and older offspring from my mares can be seen.

Whoopi’s month of May 🥰💜

Another lovely month producing my little homebred.

Whoopi has continued great form, having picked up a few more double clears in British novice and discovery classes, the highlight of the month for her was qualifying the Nationals! 🌟

Having entered purely for her experience, I thought popping her in the British Novice second rounds would be to see how she coped, still being relatively green in the show ring.
Whoopi clearly wanted me to take her more seriously, as she jumped clear in every round, with the 2nd and 3rd round being the biggest she has jumped to date (even in training). Ending up being placed 4th and securing her National Final ticket for August. 🚀🤩
I couldn’t be prouder of her. 🥰 The only 5yo to make the final round, and she didn’t find it over challenging either.

I’m really looking forward to the rest of this summer with her 💜

🏰 It’s already been a week since Snowman made his debut in the main ring at Royal Windsor Horse Show 🏰

What a round he jumped in the Foxhunter 🚀
He loved the atmosphere, and thrived in the beautiful arena.

He is a special horse with such a great future ahead of him. 🌟

Competition/Producing/Schooling livery available

Private professional showjumping yard set in a happy relaxed environment. All horses are treated as my own, with all the care and patience and no corners cut.

I am regularly at BS shows and training. With a small but special team of horses competing from novice to 1.30m, I am able to cater for any BS level long or short term.

Holiday livery is also available whilst you are away, you can have the reassurance they are getting the best care, as well as improving on anything you may want working on.

Very experienced with young horses, regularly producing for owners.

Last week Whoopi continued her great form, being my hero and picking up a 4th in the British Novice and 2nd in the Discovery 🚀💜

She has had a busy April, in an attempt to collect her last two 2nd round double clears in British novice. Whilst having that as an aim and completing it, she has also jumped 4 discovery classes and collected all 4 for 2024 season as a bonus! 🤩

Although we may not contest the 2nd rounds for either, it is lovely to complete a small milestone.

Now time for some training, and start collecting those clears for 2025 to gain more ring experience.

A couple of shows for Whoopi’s return to the show ring since last summer 🥰

She’s come back feeling stronger and loving her time in the ring. 💜
A couple of British novices and even jumped her first two discovery classes picking up two double clears 🤩

I’m so pleased with her start to 2024, so lovely to have my own in the ring, can’t deny that it’s that little bit sweeter when they are your own! 🥰
She’s showing some lovely Wendy characteristics over a fence, which makes all the work and patience that little bit more exciting.

What a winter it’s been. Not quite out of the wood completely with the weather, but we are getting so so close. 🤞🏼

Over the winter I haven’t really posted much about the breakers, it’s just been super busy, and as much as I love doing them, it has been a real slog this winter with the weather.
I have lost count how many days I’ve had to brave insane weather and push through doing the breakers day in day out when the wind is blowing trees, branches and jumps down, the rain being sideways, flash flooding, or the cold making monkeys of the babies. 😅
But, still surviving!

So here are some pictures of the gang from the past 5 months.
Vallie, Lettuce, Star, Brodi, Chester, Lexi and the two current babies Nala and Yogi. 🥰

Thank you to their owners for trusting me to make these kids polite, calm and learning all there is to know about groundwork and ridden life. ❤️

Now let’s all keep our fingers crossed that we can get some more sunshine to dry everything out, and reduce the risk of getting hurt by winter horses! 🤪

Beautiful full up 16.2hh British Bred 7yo warmblood gelding.
By Indoctro out of a SF mare.
Carefully produced with the future in mind, having just stepped up to 1.30m showing plenty of scope for more and an excellent brain.
Last year he qualified and competed in the British Novice & Discovery Finals at the Nationals.
Qualified Newcomers 2nd rounds 2023, double clears in 6 year old classes and numerous prestigious venues.

Snowman is brave, athletic, careful, and super competitive.
He loves to jump, with an excellent technique, light across the ground with plenty of blood.
He is not a novice ride, although will always give 100% in the show ring and help you out.
Well schooled, adjustable with established changes.
Lightly cross country schooled, hacks alone and in company, including through Fords/water and riding on roads.

Excellent to box, catch, shoe and clip.
Snowman is a homebred out of our successful, talented mare, and only for sale as owner no longer competing. A 5* home where he will genuinely be loved is essential.

Snowy is very kind and affectionate and excels in being your best friend.
Excellent conformation with no blemishes or vices.

Full set of recent clean x-rays available.

Bit of a BIG catch up from the past month. 🐎
I’ve had problems with access to this page, but now have it sorted!

The show horses have had some good shows the past few weeks, at Parwood, Addington and Cherwell.

Indy picked up a win and 2nd place at a couple of shows in the opens, giving me some lovely rounds 🤎

Canada has had some great classes in the 1.10ms and 1.20ms. Bold as ever, feeling fantastic, picking up low placings. 💙

Snowman continues to be an absolute superstar.
Jumping some brilliant rounds in the Foxhunter classes picking up 2nd this weekend, and 8th place at the Winter Classic, also very narrowly missing out on the win in the Winter Novice. 🦄
He is such an exciting young horse! 🤩

Whoopi has also come in from the field and is back in work, looking great, ready for her 5 year old year. Training and fitness is going well, and I’m looking forward to taking her out. As part of her work program she is visiting the water treadmill at FMBs Therapy Centre. I can’t wait to see the improvement of her over the next few months. 💜

Last week’s shows in photos! 🚀🫶🏼

Snowman jumping two cracking rounds in the Foxhunter and B&C qualifier, super unlucky pole early on in the B&C, but popped the jumpoff like it was a walk in the park. Absolute loving his job, and finding it all so easy! 🦄
This horse impresses us at every show! What a joy he is to compete. 🌟

Canada had a pop round the 1.10m on Tuesday for a very unlucky pole in the jumpoff, then ventured out again on the Friday, to pop round the 1.10m, and jumped double clear, placing 9th at a very busy Addington! He was maybe even a little too keen! Who would have thought he’s 15 this year! 🦄

Indy enjoying getting back into the swing of things, jumped two lovely rounds at Addington, just unfortunate to have a pole in each. But he’s looking really good, and coped with the very long day. 🐴

🌻Breaking/backing Livery 2024 🌻

I am super grateful to say that it’s pretty full up this coming year.
As someone who doesn’t do the young ones like a conveyor belt for numbers, there will be plenty of time and one on one attention put into your young horse and I am excited to work with your youngsters this year.

Spaces have been limited this year to hopefully allow space and time for my own homebreds.

I have my rising 5yo who jumped a handful of shows last summer, and is currently covered in mud and hair waiting to come back in. Our rising 4yo (pictured) who has been sat on, but the weather and his own growing meant he needs to crack on in the next few months. And, last but not least, my darling 3yo c**t, who will need backing this summer.

So, to fit these wonderful guys in this year, and the reason I do it all, spaces have pretty much filled up for 2024.
Please do message for enquiries incase of cancellations. If I can, I will try and help.

May I also ask, if you have pencilled in a booking the diary with me, if there are any changes at all, drop me a message so we can rearrange or I can bump clients up the list.

🌟 First show of 2024 🌟

Snowman made my 4am start well worth it with a trip up to Onley Grounds for the day.

He jumped a lovely round in the Newcomers to win the class with ease!🥇
Then continued his good form to jump clear in the first round of the Winter Novice.
An early draw in the jumpoff meant going as quick as possible and hoping to be quick enough to qualify! Snow Monkey did everything I asked of him, jumping another quick clear. It’s such a fantastic feeling to be on a horse who tries so hard, yet finds it easy! 🥰
The more experienced combinations further in the draw got quicker, but very proud that Snowman kept a prize giving placing, to come 5th. 🥰🚀

He totally deserves a show day like this. A horse that truly loves his job! 🦄

So grateful for the opportunity and continued support of his owners to produce him.

She has all the attributes from her gorgeous mum, and has been given time to grow, mature a bit and I have spent the time to let her strengthen through her body in long reining work so she is ready for a rider. She’s finding her balance, starting to work sweetly in the arena on the long reins in a gentle outline and soft mouth, no side reins included 😉

Snowman at the British Showjumping National Championships 🤩

He qualified the British Novice and Discovery Finals, and he didn’t disappoint. We gave it our best shot, he’s still relatively novice compared to some but showed he’s got the brain for the big shows 🥰🤩

British Novice Final, jumped clear, then fast enough for 3rd in the jumpoff, but an upright down jumping on an angle meant 11th place. Still taking home prize money and the satisfaction that he was so close 😍

Discovery Final, in the rain 🌧️ jumped clear, then fast enough for a top 10 placing but again, a novice mistake on the turn back to the double for one fence down.

I can’t fault this guy. He did the turns, he did the speed, I could have gone tighter, but he’s still young and has such an exciting future! 🤩

On the first day I did it mostly on my own, he was so patient with me plaiting, scrubbing and making him pristine and then all the waiting between the first and jumpoff with me and warming up stealing peoples fences. Second day as much as it was raining so so much he had to be patient again for me to plait him as he’s just so beautiful 🥰🦄

Thank you to those who were very kind who helped, supported, complimented, took pictures and made me feel very privileged to be sat on the unicorn. So so lovely to be back at the bigger shows 🌟

Is it possible to be your own homebred’s biggest fan? 🥰

Whoopi went to her second BS show on the weekend, and I couldn’t be prouder of her! 💜

We went to Cherwell Competition Centre and she jumped double clear and 5th in the 85cm and then went on to jump another double clear in her first British Novice to come 6th.

Attitude and ridability in the ring was brilliant, I’m just so proud of her. She’s now got a couple of weeks in the field to have a bit of a chill after a busy couple of months.
Also I have youngsters coming out of my ears so need to get some more broken in before the dreaded winter catches up with us! 😅
