Do you have a dog in your family who doesnât love other dogs? This reel is for you!
Introducing new dogs into a family is already tough, and with a difficult dog it is even harder.
We specialize in aggression! Reach out if you need helpđ„
Just like us, each dog is unique, born with their own temperament and personality.
No dog is born knowing how to respond to âComeâ or âStay.â These are human concepts we teach dogs to help them cope, but it takes time & dedication to do so.
Weâre here to help you get there.
Do you have a reactive dog? Read for training tips!
We start the training trip by allowing Stella to settle into the environment. We explore and sniff away from triggers.
Once Stella is showing relaxation, we start work! We start with the Up/Down Game, capturing and reinforcing attention in a distracting environment. Once I am getting reliable engagement from Stella, we start work on her trigger.
We move to a space where her trigger (cars & trucks) will appear. We position ourselves so she can stay under-threshold. I reinforce Stella for noticing the trigger without reacting, and encourage her to take space (by tossing a treat away) each time the trigger appears.
She moves towards the trigger, I mark, and she moves away to receive food!
As Stellaâs emotions towards her trigger shift, we gradually decrease distance as she progresses.
Great job, Stella!
Chewing/biting/shredding are all normal behaviors for your puppy (and adult dog!) to experience! Instead of punishing your puppy for expressing natural behaviors, redirect them to practice the behaviors in appropriate ways đȘ

Recall Training Tips!
1. Add motion to increase speed and drive. Running away or moving away when you call your dog will make it more fun and engaging, encouraging them to run to you.
2. Reward your dog as soon as they arrive. This will reinforce your dogs behavior right away without giving them an opportunity to get distracted or run away again, and if you continue to reward with several more treats you can build value for staying close to you instead of rebounding away again.
3. Practice lots of repetitions! Practice recalls all the time, short recalls, easy recalls, no distractions, etc. This buildâs value for the recall word and the desired behavior.
Happy Training!

Do you have a dog who likes to explode through thresholds?
Thresholds are really exciting! Letâs teach your dog how to calmly pass through a gate. First, get ready with a leash in one hand and a big handful of treats in the other.
Approach the threshold with the treats in your dominant hand. Open the gate with your other hand while the treat hand is ready and waiting at nose-level. Immediately start dispensing treats to your dog, luring their nose to the floor where you drop the rest of the handful. While theyâre foraging for those treats, clip on the leash.
After they finish the treat scatter, youâre ready to go!
