Been gone for a year. Rinny you would be 16 years old today. I sure do miss my best friend. You were the best!

Reflecting on the loss of Rinny. I have walked the beach twice with my daughter in the 29 days since Rinny’s passing. I was okay, but I haven’t had the heart to go back alone. Rinny and I have walked over 3000 miles on Ocean View beaches. I decided to go today even though I have felt like there was a force field holding me back. Our morning beach walks were such a joy. We met our 2 and 4 legged friends, we made many friends on the beach who we would have never met had Rinny not introduced us. Starting ones day with their best friend, exercising, breathing salt air with performances from dolphin, pelicans, jumping fish and sailing vessels along with stunning sunrises and sunsets and all that Mother Nature has to offer is priceless.

As soon as I headed out for my lone walk, the tears began to fall, my chest tightened up and I felt like my throat was closing and in pain, my heart hurt. I forced myself to walk to the shoreline, but turned and headed home. I guess I am not ready. Our little guy is hopefully upstairs and feeling good, continuing to watch over us, keeping us in line just as he did so well on earth. Losing a beloved pet is so hard. I miss my Rinny 🐶 ♥️ 😔 .

This video is of Me and Mom on one of my last adventures this week. We had a great beach walk this morning. Had some extra loves, hugs, kisses and a nap snuggled in her lap today. I got pretty sick after dinner so Mom and Dad raced me to the Vet, but I don’t remember much because I went into shock in the car and was very quiet in Moms embrace. The Vet said my stomach flipped and because of my age and how rare it is for a dog my size, I most likely had a serious disease that caused it. Him trying to fix me likely wouldn’t work and if it did there could be serious complications and pain.

Mom and Dad made a tough decision, and the Vet said it was the right decision. I am on my way to heaven. We had a great life together and I’ll be waiting for them when it’s their turn. I love you all, thanks for all the hospitality, love, pats and treats you showered on me at our frequent visits. I’ll say hi to the gang when I get up there, Lou, Buddy, Ritz, Bindi, Cousin Gabby, Mako, Lucy, Skate...
