***State Police Canine Unit Graduates 181st Narcotic Detection Dog Class***

Middletown, CT. (July 8, 2016): The Connecticut State Police Canine Unit graduated eight narcotic detection K9 teams in a ceremony today for the 181st Narcotic Detection Dog class.
The canine teams are all trained to detect narcotics, including he**in and Fentanyl. For the canines, all Labradors from Guiding Eyes for the Blind in NY, the graduation marks the culmination of an 11-week rigorous and intense training course.

A very sad day for the men & women with the Cy Fair FD. Today they said good bye to Bretagne (pronounced "Brittany") she's the last known surviving 9/11 search and rescue dog. She would have turned 17 in Aug.
This video shows her walking into the vet's office one last time - getting a hero's salute. She was put down at 5pm. STORY-->http://bit.ly/1XB5dhM
