Recently while talking with a friend, she told about her latest volunteer project. . .taking shelter cats to a nursing home to visit the residents. She shared how the residents loved the interactions with the cats, and the cats seemed to thrive on the attention from the residents. She said there were even some adoptions of a few cats by staff and residents’ family members. The Martha Decker Fund loved this idea!!
How about you? Maybe this is something our cat-loving followers might enjoy. Maybe some of our area rescues, shelters, and animal controls are already doing this or could give it a try? Izard County Animal Rescue Effort (ICARE), Paw Control of Cherokee Village, City of Horseshoe Bend Animal Control.
