This is my current sleep..

I ended up going back to sleep with CALM in the background...

I'm exhausted, and will change my work habits from now on..

No more late night working, may need to start taking naps during the day.

I am still tired, but when you only take catnaps to sleep at night, 3 hrs sleep, wake up, something has to give...

WOW! What a week..

2 craft shows in person.. both were successful in that I earned more this year than last year.

I even had a brand new item, just finished on Friday night for Saturday show..and sold 5 out of the 16 I made.

Then a lovely Mother's Day afternoon at Nola Glass home with friends far and near. Good food, laughs, conversation too.

Now I am tired and need to get started on getting apartment cleaned today...

Tomorrow I have PA appointment for cortisone shots in both thumbs amd knee...

No rest until tomorrow

It was a cool, cloudy, windy day in El Segundo at the Hometown Fair, a once a year event with arts & crafts, bounce houses, live music and more...

Sold many crochet animals, bowl cozies...need to find more crochet animals that can be shipped to me by Friday..The best show we have done in many years.

Lee has been helping me with craft shows prep..

I had him print labels for me to make my merchandise look professional looking.

Of course, I noticed the coaster label is not "coasters". I may need to just add "s" to each label OR just use a sign that says Pair of Coasters.

Here are my upcoming craft fair events.

The LEFT FLYER: HOMETOWN FAIR, EL SEGUNDO, SATURDAY MAY 4, 2024, 9am - 3pm. I will be at BOOTH #5 facing Library Park.

There will be bounce houses, arts & crafts vendors, El Segundo High School will have food booths, bands, music, dessert contest, (rubber duck derby?) A fun filled family event.

The RIGHT FLYER: PAN AMERICAN FIESTA, SATURDAY MAY 11, 2024, 11am - 6pm for arts & crafts vendors. Mayfair Park, Lakewood Ca. I will be at booth #27.

There will be carnival rides and games, food trucks, live concerts, flag presentation of the US and all the countries of the Americans, kids cultural booth.

I hope to see you there. I will have some lovely items with plenty to choose from, which make great gifts.

We're tired, longer drive today, lots of traffic in the OC and the LB..

We are now checked into San Diego..cute hotel, bay view, I love being able to hear cars, helicopters, the wind blowing...

Wall air conditioner, via thermostat, quiet too...feels so much more comfortable.

I looked at the hotel restaurant menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, appetizers, cocktails...yeah, many choices makes us happy..much better than the other place.

Time for a GOOD laugh....
Conversation often heard this time of year….
Mother of infant “WOW! You brought a gift for my child”
Crocheter “Yes, open it and see what the child thinks of it”
Mother “It’s a hat, but the colors are downright wrong for my child”
Crocheter “Well I thought that the purple and pink was a great choice, why not show it to the child and see the reaction”
Mother holds hat out for child to see and child reaches for it …
Mother “NO these colors are wrong for you, you aren’t wearing this”
Crocheter “You mean you don’t like the gift?”
Mother “A hat was a good idea, but you should have done it in teal & cream colors”
Crocheter “So if you go to a store and they have nothing exactly the right color, would you buy something the child needs in a color they do have?”
Mother “Possibly since most stores don’t do custom orders”
Crocheter “So do you want a hat for your child in the colors you prefer?”
Mother “That would be really great!”
Crocheter” I can have it in two days and it will only cost you $38 plus processing and handling of $12 making the total $50”
Mother “WHAT? You gave this one to her, why should I have to pay for the other one”
Crocheter “Just like you said most stores don’t do custom orders. That is what you are requesting from me. The hat I gave your child was an (in stock) item. Not a custom order item”
Mother “What is the $12 processing and handling fee?”
Crocheter “That covers the cost of the process of purchasing your color choices of yarn and handling this situation.”
Mother “The yarn cost should be in the $38 cost of the hat”
Crocheter “The yarn cost is, but the process of going to get the yarn isn’t “
Mother “I think my child will look ok enough with this FREE hat you gave us”
