Just to let our Barking Mad Family know…
Our darling girl Dorothy died suddenly on Sunday morning…our hearts are shattered and the grief is overwhelming 💜
We didn’t realise it at the time Dottie but when we woke up on Sunday morning it was the last of so many things…you’d had your last night’s sleep tucked on our bed, taking up all the room between me and Dad…the last pleading looks deep into our eyes, an inch from our faces to convince us it really was time for breakfast, knowing full well that’s all it took for Dad to get up early and feed you, the last play with your best friends, last puddle wallow, the last nudges with your beautiful, wet nose on my hand for secret treats as we walked that morning.
The lasts of everything happened and we didn’t know…we just didn’t know…if we had we’d have hugged you a little tighter before we left the house for your morning walk, we’d have looked you in the eyes one last time, as we did so often and told you how much we loved and needed you 💜
We’d have breathed you in one last time 💜
I’m so sorry I couldn’t save you Darling girl. I tried but it was all so quick. I hope you felt me holding you in my arms and that you knew how much we all loved you 💜
Run as fast as you can and find Grandad Christopher & Auntie Rosie…they’re waiting for you at the end of the rainbow bridge…they’ll keep you safe until our time comes to join you.
