RAS is going through a horrific parvo outbreak. Many of their dogs who are showing symptoms and testing positive are being euthanized by the day to prevent the spread to those there that are healthy. They are pausing all stray intakes to try and contain the spread of this virus. For those who don’t know about parvo, is is fatal and while it’s sad for those sick to be put down, it’s merciful to them at this point. It is a nasty nasty virus.

If you are able to foster a pup even temporarily for short term until they are able to contain it, it would save many lives. If you’re able to share, it could save many lives. 🙏🏼

Some additional info: We will be appearing before Judge Douglas A. Randall on Friday. The courtrooms will have the Judge’ nameplate posted by the door or you can ask the information desk in the lobby which room the Judge will be in for the day and they will be able to direct you in the right direction.

Our next court appearance for Vanessa is this coming Friday October 2nd at 10AM at the Monroe County Courthouse located at 99 Exchange Blvd., Rochester, NY. We will be appearing before a Monroe County Judge. Her extended kennel stay is wearing on her so we need to get her home sooner rather than later. It is open court, please attend if you are able and would like to show support.

‼️Update‼️
To expand on this subject, it is very important to create space and to help our dog(s), and puppies to be comfortable with our absences. Separation Anxiety is a long haul behavior to tackle and it is far better to do the work early, rather than later. Over the next few days I will be giving advice and pointers on how to help your dog and you!!! A calm dog is a happy dog!!

Please keep this in mind! Work on crate training, creating space, etc. Don’t forget to do this with your older dogs as well. This will truly become a problem if you do not stay aware of it!! I will post more later!!
