***Due to Facebook changes, there is no longer an option for the public post to the page - please send a PM and we will review.*** A place for anyone and everyone to post a pet that was lost or a pet that was found or needs a new place to crash. A page where you can post a lost pet, a pet who was found, or a pet you need to find a home for, everyone is responsible for their own post and the info

rmation they want posted, I would suggest not giving out phone # or addresses... be safe and have the person inbox you and meet in a public place, I am just providing the page for everyone to connect...to see all the animals home safe or in a safe place is my one and only goal.....God Bless, and don't forget, whether you are a pet owner, just found a lost or stray animal, or have contact with them, they are dependent upon you for everything.

UPDATE: We have great news to share! SB 293 and SB 294, the bond-or-forfeit bills, passed the Senate earlier today. The 29-4 vote shows tremendous support for the bills and for the animals who will benefit. Thank you for your calls, your emails, your shares - the impact of your advocacy shines bright today. Now on to the House. Stay tuned. Your voice will be needed.

LEGISLATIVE ACTION ALERT: You still have time to contact your state senator today and urge them to vote YES on SB 293/294.

Find your senator's contact information here: https://senate.michigan.gov/senators/all-senators/

In our current system, when animals are seized from cruelty and neglect, they are many times subjected to being held in confinement for months and even years while the criminal case slowly makes its way through the legal system. These animals, who have already been abused, are forced to endure additional suffering. Also, the shelter housing the seized animals must incur the cost and expense for ongoing, long-term care.

Michigan Pet Alliance and its members fully support Michigan Humane's proposed amendments to the current bond-or-forfeit process, which would allow seized animals to move out of confinement and allow the housing shelters to potentially recoup their costs.

Contact your state senator by Thursday and ask them to please vote YES on SB 293/294. When we speak with One Voice, we create lasting change for those who cannot speak for themselves.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT on how to be most helpful when it comes to posts that are searching for help for an animal in need. ❣️

Examples of NOT helpful comments on rescue pages searching for help for an animal:
1. “Bring it inside!”
2. “Take it to the vet!”
3. “Why are you just standing there taking pictures and videos instead of helping!”
4. “Why didn’t you help it yet!”
5. “Somebody please help!”

If I am posting for help, it is because HELP IS NEEDED‼️
1…Obviously the finder is unable to bring the animal inside for whatever reason if it has not been brought inside. Maybe step up and offer to hold temporarily yourself until help can be found.
2…Are you covering the Veterinary cost? The average person who finds an injured animal cannot afford to rush it to the vet and cover the cost. Most also can’t or don’t know how to provide proper care. That is why posts are made searching for rescue help or financial help in order to get the animal the help it needs.
3… When making a post for help, photos and videos help grab people’s attention more than just a post of words. This also allows rescuers to see the severity of the situation. This helps them determine whether they are physically and financially capable of stepping up for the animal in need based on what’s going on.
4…Why didn’t YOU help??? These posts searching for help are doing more to find help for the animal than your negative comments about what SHOULD be done.
5…YOU could be that somebody!! This could be YOUR chance to help. Why does everyone always just expect that someone else will do it?

Examples of HELPFUL comments on rescue pages searching for help for an animal:
1. “I’ll reach out to some other rescues directly to see if they can help.” (Any actual action steps are super helpful and appreciated!!)
2. “I can transport if help can be found.”
3. “Sharing to try to find help!”
4. “Commenting for visibility”, “Sending prayers”, etc. All comments help boost the post in the FB algorithm so more people see the post and hopefully it gets in front of the right person who can help.

When a rescue page is posting asking for help, there is no need to try telling them what needs to be done. We are well aware of what needs to happen. We do not have an unending supply of money or space to stash every animal that someone reaches out to us about. If there is a post looking for help, it is because HELP IS NEEDED and we are unable to physically or financially help the animal ourselves. The post IS a way of HELPING!!! Negative comments, degrading, and saying what should be done differently… Not helpful!

📸: Former CCC Buddy. He is NOT in need of help and is living his best indoor life. He just wanted to help with the PSA for visibility purposes.

‼️‼️‼️URGENT ‼️‼️‼️

Georgia still needs our help.

She has to be picked up from the vet office no later than tomorrow.

She has been there a week now.

She is Felv+ and she can’t come to the cat cafe.

She has not been vaccinated and the vet urges against it.

If no one can get her by tomorrow, she has to be returned back outside.

The rescue/catfe can’t take her in as a foster and pay for her care indefinitely.

She will need to be adopted directly.

Please share so she can find a home asap.

Thank you!
