Hi all-

As many of you know, we moved to SoCal in August of last year. Thankfully, we are in the desert and are about an hour and a half away from the fires currently devastating so many communities. That said, we do have some very good friends and family who are in the areas that have been impacted and we have been keeping a close eye on evacuation orders for them. Please, everyone stay safe if you're in or near a dangerous area. Please reach out to friends and family in these areas and offer whatever assistance you can.

Ammy just finished her second post-op recheck 🙂

Her leggy is still lookin' good on exam and x-rays. Her vet is sending this set of x-rays over to her surgeon to take a look at well, and hopefully her surgeon will give her the all clear to start rehab 🙌

She goes back in two weeks just for her adequan injections, and then mid January she has her last leggy recheck and then she will be FREE to go back to regular activity!!

I should never have been concerned.

She no longer needs her sling even to go potty and she went on a small park excursion this morning!

Wednesday she has her second post-op appointment and will have another set of x-rays done to check on her bones' healing progress, and then hopefully she will get the all-clear to re-start rehab! 🤞

Breakfast lick mat 🙂

Nothing to report! All is good. Ammy is still doing great even without the buprenorphine. Her incision looks good, her bruising is nearly all gone, and she's getting back to her borking self.

She went potty, had breakfast, and did a play session this morning!

Only three more days of pesky cone left 🙌

"LET ME OUTTA THIS JAIL CELL"

Ammy is doing great. We haven't had a single issue pop up since she had her bandage removed a few days ago, not even a p*e accident!

She finished her antibiotic this morning, she finished her buprenorphine yesterday, and is supposed to finish her codeine tomorrow. She is still on Galliprant, but we're gonna keep a close eye on her to make sure she doesn't need any other pain meds this next week.
She goes to her vet Wednesday morning to get her staples out (GOODBYE STINKY CONE!!) and she'll get a set of X-rays to make sure her bone and the plate are healing well. 🙂

Now the toughest part is going to be keeping her fairly calm and quiet while she slowly rebuilds strength! She's getting sick of being penned, and it's only been a week!

NEW LAMMY ACQUIRED

Hi friends, I have been in Taiwan for the last few weeks and Ammy is back at home. I miss her SO much, but her dad has been sending me pictures and videos 🥹 I sent her a lil care package this week with a new toy and some bones because I miss her so much! I will be posting less since I am out of the country, but I'll make sure to update you all as much as I can with the photos I get sent!

And Ammy wonders why we give her baths...
