The breeding between Bogart and Flare resulted in 1 puppy. Wednesday, 12/21 I took Flare in for an x-ray to confirm and to decide when to perform the c-section. We scheduled it for Friday 12/23. This morning (12/22) Flare had a small dark bloody discharge at around 6:30. I rushed her to the vet. An ultrasound determined that the puppy was not viable.

I'm sorry to all those that were hoping for a puppy from this breeding. It was not to be.

Congratulations to Gunner (Ch. Symar Tell it to the Marines) At the Donner Trail KC shows, September 24th and 25th, Gunner was awarded Hound Group 2 and Hound Group 3, respectively. Gunner (GChB Estat Classic Tihomir x GCh. Sunburst Ellicit Dream, JC) is owned and loved by Barb Simpson, Sydney Burnside and Audrey Boyer, and shown by Audrey.

Nothing like some friendly competition between siblings, right?

Here we have "Sissy" (Symar Kadlec Kiss and Tell) and "Rufus" (Symar Tell Me Somethin' Good Tell Me That U Like It) neck and neck to finish their Championships. Sissy has 13 points and needs a major to finish. Rufus has 14 points, needing that last single.

This will be the 3rd and 4th puppy from the litter to finish, with another (Laser) very close behind.

And the icing on the cake?? All 4 have their CHICs - all normal!

Last month, Sissy (Symar Kadlec Kiss and Tell) won a 5 point major in New Mexico during the Turquoise Trail Borzoi Club Specialty weekend. Last weekend, she participated in the Woofstock shows. Sissy is owned by Gwen Little and Natasha Burtch and is show here at Woofstock with Benji Marcus

In Albuquerque, NM attending the 4 day cluster and Turquoise Trail Borzoi Club Specialty Show, Laser (Symar Light Show) and his litter sister Sissy (Symar Kadlec Kiss and Tell) did their owners proud. Sissy (below) won a 5 point major on Thursday! Not bad for being away from the ring for a long time.

I just realized we forgot to announce another winner! Symar-Sunburst Rashabar v Drakon (Rashabar) earned his Gazehound Racing Championship (GRC) on April 9th! He will pursue his SGRC in the fall and maybe work a conformation show or 2 into his very busy schedule. Rashabar lives with his father Hal and his hoomans Josie and Mike Haumont!!

Congratulations to Gunner! On September 12th at the Sir Francis Drake KC, Gunner earned his last point to become CH Symar Tell It To The Marines. (GCHB Estet Classic Tihomir x GCH Sunburst Ellicit Dream JC) Gunner is owned by Barb Simpson, Sydney Burnside, and his new gal-pal Audrey Boyer. He will be showing in Juniors with Audrey and competing in the breed ring with her at the end of the lead. We look forward to watching this young team take on the world!

Congratulations to Gunner!! Symar Tell It To The Marines took Winner's Dog yesterday (2 points) and today at the Borzoi Club of Northern California (3 point major). Gunner now has 14 points towards his Championship!

Lots of announcements!

First - Flare (Symar-Sunburst What the Inferno) recently completed her Championship at the Orange Empire KC show. Thanks to Emilie Hooker's expert handling and gopher-hole avoiding skills!

Also - Her litter brothers hooked up (lower photo) at the BCOA Nationals in Ohio for a reunion. Rashabar (Symar Sunburst Rashabar v Drakon) left, owned by Josie Haumont and Paladin (Sunburst Symar Paladin) owned by Kelly Brunarski couldn't deny the family resemblance!

After a very long Covid dry spell, I am please to announce that Alexis Robertson and Crush achieved their B-CAT today!! Crush is Symar Tell Me Your Secrets, from the T x Elli Mae litter. These puppies will be 2 next month and are starting to come "of age". We look forward to seeing more of them next year.

The Show and Tell litter has come of age. First out of the gate is Gunner (Symar Tell it to the Marines) Here he is going Reserve at his first show in Northern California at the tender age of 6 months and 4 days with owner Barb Simpson. Meanwhile, back in Gettysburg PA, his father, Ch. Estet Classic Tihomir takes 1st Award of Merit at the Borzoi Club of America Nationals!! Way to go, guys!!
