A group of people have come together, in honor of their beloved pets, to save the lives of animals in need. Buffalo C.A.R.E.S.

Animal Rescue
is an all breed, volunteer driven, 501(c)(3) non- profit organization dedicated primarily, but not limited to, the facilitation of placement of homeless animals in Buffalo, NY & surrounding area shelters. We provide safe foster homes, needed veterinary care, balanced training, socialization and support to develop a well adjusted family companion. Through a screened adoption process,

the companion animals will be placed in compatible, permanent homes. Serving our community and local pet owners as a resource, we provide information on the importance of population reduction through spay/neuter programs and microchipping pets.

It is with a heavy heart that we are sharing this news. It is not at all how any of us had thought it would end. We were all hopeful for a different outcome. Miss Kitty made her way onto the train tracks last night and unfortunately had a tragic accident. We received a call this afternoon from CSX that they had found Miss Kitty. We would like to thank the kind gentleman from CSX that showed Miss Kitty the love and respect she deserved and brought her back home to us.
Please hold your furry friend a little closer tonight and give them extra love to honor Miss Kitty. We are still in disbelief. Thank you for giving those of us that had to give Miss Kitty her last goodbyes, the time we need. Rest in Peace Miss Kitty. You no longer have to run from your past. You mattered and are loved 💔🌈😢

🚨 MISSING DOG 🚨

Foster named Miss Kitty just got loose from her foster and took off. This just happened in City of Tonawanda on Maldiner & State Street. She had on a light green collar with a bow tie pattern and a Buffalo CARES Animal Rescue tag.
Edit… Her collar and or tag may have fallen off. She is microchipped and reported lost.

Hello 👋🏽 my name is Lily and I am just a pint-sized little girl. I am 3 months old and what we think is that I am a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix but who knows for sure. What my foster mom says we do know is that I am so sweet 🥰, and that I love to cuddle, even as we write this I am cuddled up on my foster mom’s lap. My foster mom says I have the biggest soulful brown eyes 👀 and these big ears that are almost bigger than my little head and that I am adorable, what do you think? I can be a little shy 🙈 when we first meet but when I warm up I will be your best friend! I love to be held and I tend to hug whoever is holding me and who doesn’t love a doggie hug. I live with a bunch of other dogs and I love to play with all of them. I love toys, exploring outside 🌳and I will never turn down a good treat! I am crate trained and sleep in it all night without a peep 🤫, but would love to share a bed with you, if you let me. I am working on my potty training and with a schedule and rewards (you know treats) I will have that down in no time. Hello future family 🤗! My name is Dewayne. I am an almost 3 year old lab mix and come in at almost 60 pounds of pure love 💕. And I do mean love! I absolutely LOVE to cuddle with my foster mom. She loves it too. I follow her everywhere because I always want to be near her. She says her favorite thing about me are my eyes 👀. She’s right: they are stunning! A few things you should know about me. I will give LOTS of hugs and kisses. I am potty trained and crate trained. I know how to sit and give paw. I’m working on stay and my leash skills. Treats 🍪 are definitely helping! I LOVE treats! I am great with kids and other dogs as well!! I haven’t met a cat yet, so I don’t know if they would like me. Hi there 😃, my name is Minnie!!

I am a sweet girl who may be small in stature, but I have mountains of love to give. I am a very affectionate girl and love to cuddle and give lots of kisses 💋. I am told all the time what a gorgeous wrinkly-faced, pity mix lady I am. I think I’m the exact definition of a lap dog, I hope you feel the same way. I love meeting new people and will quickly show off my belly for rubs, which is one of my favorite things! I am currently living with two foster dog-siblings and love to play with them. I am house-trained. I love those things they call treats 🍪, and I am highly food motivated, making training me so much easier, as I will do anything for a treat!! I know basic commands and I respond well to my name. My foster Mom says I am the sweetest and most loving pup around, do you want to meet me and see? I am hoping for a home that will let me be the most snuggly 🥰 lap-pup that I was certainly born to be. Hello 👋🏽 my name is Lays (yep just like the potato 🥔 chips), and I am Terrier/Whippet mix, or so we think. My foster mom says that my little freckled face is so beautiful and she is constantly kissing 😘 me and telling me how cute I am! I am my foster mom’s cuddle buddy and she loves it as I just lay there and take in all the love, why wouldn’t I!! Yes, I sometimes get out of my foster mom’s lap to play with my foster siblings as you can’t just cuddle all the time or can you? My foster siblings and I get along great, we play tug of war, wrestle 🤼 and run around in the backyard together. I also love to chew on sticks and explore! I am crate trained and sleep in it all night without a peep 🤫 but remember cuddling is my thing, so I see sleeping in a bed with my person in my future! I am working on my potty training and I should have that down in no time if I am kept on a schedule. You know those things they call treats, well I love them, but I have got to be careful as a girl needs to watch her figure. Hello, 👋🏽 my name is Ruffles and I am a 4 month old terrier mix. My foster mom says I have the most beautiful big brown eyes and a gorgeous smile 😃, what do you think? I love to play with all of my foster siblings, we have a great time romping out in the backyard. I love to make them chase 💫 me, they will never catch me, I am FAST! When I am done running I just like to lay down on the soft grass and take in all the smells and sun ☀️ bathe. I also love to cuddle with my foster mom and I think she likes it too but with all of my foster siblings we have to take turns getting in her lap so I am really looking for a lap to call my own, is your lap available? I am crate trained and I sleep 😴 in it all night without a peep, but if you want me to sleep with you, I would be ok with that. I am still working on my potty training, but if I stay on a schedule, I should have it in no time 👌🏽. Oh and you know those things they call treats well they make going outside to potty very rewarding! Hi, 👋🏽 my name is Pringle and I am a 4 month old terrier/whippet mix or at least that is what we think, who really knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ What is important is that I am a very good boy!! What we do know for sure is that I am a handsome boy, with big brown eyes 👀 and how we know that is because my foster mom tells me that all the time!! She says my face has character and my personality matches that. I love to explore, especially outside, I love to take in all the new smells 👃, I bet I would make someone a good hiking buddy. I bet we could find some good sticks along the way and did I tell you I love sticks?? I also love to play with my foster siblings - we all get along great! I love toys, especially the ones that make all the noise, those are my favorite! You know those things they call treats 🍪? I will do anything for one of them, but I always patiently wait my turn to get one. I am crate trained and sleep in it all night without a peep. I am still working on my potty training but I am almost there and with schedule and treats I will have it mastered in no time ⏱️. My name is Stormy and I am a 12 month old golden retriever puppy mix. I’m ready for my forever home 🏠 as I am potty trained ✔️, leash trained ✔️and crate trained✔️! I hear I’m a real great pup all the time! I am about 30lbs. I really love to play with toys and can play fetch forever. My favorite toy is a squeaky stuffed animal 🧸. Look at smarty pants 🤓 Mary working on her skills! Hi, I am Mary. I am a lab/shepherd mix. My foster mom says I am very well behaved. And she is always telling me that I am pretty and such a good girl. Maybe it’s because I wear my listening ears👂all of the time. I know my sit, stay, “no” and I don’t like to disappoint so I really make sure I listen all of the time. I am very good at going outside. I would love a fenced yard so I can spend time out there. I will go in a crate if you have to work. When it is time to walk, I sit patiently to have my harness put on. If there is something I need to work on, I would say it is my walking skills. I get a little too excited when I see the wild life outside 🐿️. I promise, I will work on that. When we are home, I like to play a little with the dogs in the house. They have fun toys 🎾that they let me play with but I always give them back when I am done. Sometimes I think I would prefer to have all of the attention to myself. But, if you have a dog, I would be more than happy to meet them. At night, I curl up on my blanket, I am happy sleeping in the same room or close by. Pinball update! Our sweet boy who was found emaciated is already doing so much better. He has been to the vet and is already gaining weight steadily. And as you can see, his energy is improving as well!
