My poor Bugster girl.
- So I haven't talked about this online before, but thought I would share so that if your cat has the brown spots in its eye(s) you know to be watchful.
-She has a medical condition as Iris Melanosis, this condition appears as brown spots or areas of darker pigmentation on the anterior surface of the iris (the coloured part of the eye).
-In rare cases, benign Iris Melanosis can transform into Malignant Melanoma (cancer) if the cells undergo malignant transformation.
-Iris melanosis is a benign condition that is not fatal. However, it can lead to serious and painful complications such as glaucoma and detachment of the retina. :-(
-The really close up photo with her left eye is from this morning. The full face photo is from March 2020 where you can see just a tiny brown spot on the bottom of the left eye. :-(
-I am attaching a link with a detailed outline of the condition for your to read up on before asking me a ton of questions. Thanks. Some things are just harder to share.
