Please do your research about this breed of tortoise as they can't be kept outside, do no hibernate and need heat lamps all year round. Leopard tortoises are a large species of tortoise that require correct heating and lighting all year round as this is a tropical species that does not hibernate.
These tortoises can live for a very long time so please think of the commitment.
They are extremely rewarding loving and tame inquisitive animals.
They are fed on grasses natural hays and w**ds and cuttlebone a natural calcium to keep there beaks in trim and from overlapping.

You will need a tortoise table for them ( Not a vivarium or fish tank ) as they are unsuitable for them .

For the past 16 years, I have been breeding and rearing tortoises. Again this year, I am pleased to offer for sale some well-reared Hermanns tortoises hatched in 2023 from eggs laid by our resident breeding trio of Hermanns tortoises. I have one that is ready to go to a new home now and several younger ones that will be ready in 4 weeks time. As long as the basic requirements for temperature and lighting are provided along with a suitable habitat, these little tortoises are relatively easy to keep. Currently measuring about 4.5 -5 centimetres in plastron length, these very tame tortoises are feeding well on mainly wild plants(w**ds) with a calcium supplement. At this age, they require a suitably heated and lit indoor environment with a topsoil based substrate and will benefit from being outside on warm sunny days. When older they will need an outside enclosure with access to supplementary heat for cooler days. Please note: baby tortoises are not suitable pets for very young children
