Pickles turned 15 yesterday. Pickles is a green Lineolated Parakeet. Lineolated Parakeets are also called Barred Parakeets, Catherine Parakeet or simply a Linnie.
Average lifespan of a Linnie is 10, however they can live into their 20's.
Pickles has a few health issues and sees her avian vet regularly. The yellow feathers around her face are similar to us turning grey. Greens will get yellow feathers while Blues get white feathers as they age.
Pickles has 2 best friend. Spash the yellow budgie that is beside her and Glitter a Sierra Parakeet.
