Look at that face though! Still a 10?

OMG so true! Does your dog do this too?
And he never leaves the toilet seat up (but he might drink the toilet water)! 😂
Maybe that's why I can't remember people's names, but I do remember their dog's name!
Let us know what you saw first! (Hint: "Treats" just *might* be in there!)
What would be on your dog's resolution list? We definitely think No. 3 should be!
Cafe Bader wishes you and your furry loved one(s) a very safe, happy New Year!

Warmest wishes for a joyful Kwanzaa!
Cafe Bader wishes you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas.
We want to hear your naughtiest holiday stories! Our owner Sarah will go first -- her dog Coco, who died in 2020, used to steal Sarah's pizza crusts off her plate! We just *might* have a pizza crust recipe in Coco's honor coming soon. 🍕😉 How has your pet been naughty?
It's officially the first day of winter, and you know what that means -- cold, snow, freezing rain and just generally lovely weather. What does your dog do when the weather is dreadful and it's potty time?
Double-check Santa's list -- did he get it right? 🎅🏻🎄
On Dec. 19, 2020, our owner Sarah adopted Bader, a 7-year-old stray found roaming the streets of Baton Rouge. Once he settled into his new home, he was the sweetest, happiest, goofiest boy; however, just six months after his adoption, he passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly. Sarah was devastated to lose him before he really had a chance to enjoy his new life, and Cafe Bader is named in his honor. Sarah hopes every pet parent cherishes every moment with their furry loved ones! 🌈💔
Lots of dogs will be getting pre-holiday groomings in the next few days! Leave your favorite emoji in the comments if your dog goes *p**f* and disappears when it's time for a bath. 🛁🐾
Our owner Sarah's rescue dogs' elf names are Jingle Jangle (Bader), Snowy Jangle (Coco) and Jolly Jangle (Chance) -- we're sensing a theme! 🤣 Let us know your pet's elf name in the comments.👇

What are the benefits of vegan dog treats? We're glad you asked! Not only are they good for dogs who have sensitivities to animal protein, but they can also help dogs who are allergic to other foods like eggs and dairy; they can be a healthy choice for canines who have weight management and obesity issues, as well. In addition, because they don't contain meat or other animal products, they leave less of a carbon footprint and are better for farm animal welfare. They also make the perfect holiday present! Pick up some samples of Cafe Bader's pumpkin-peanut butter treats for the pup in your life today!
If you're like us, you can't stand to see animals treated badly and would step in to help an animal in need. That's why all of Cafe Bader's dog treats are 100 percent vegan -- many happy doggies taste-tested our cookies, but no animals were harmed or exploited to make them. In addition, Cafe Bader's owner has rescued three dogs and fully supports the movement. For International Animal Rights Day, we encourage you to consider going vegan, adopting a shelter pet or donating your time or money to an animal charity. Our collective action can make a difference for animals!
Holiday decorations and festivities can pose potential risks to your pets. Keep your furry friends safe by pet-proofing your home! If you have a dog that might chew or ingest your houseplants, play it safe and skip these plants in your house (or make sure they are safely out of reach of your pup). There are many more so it's best to do a quick web search to double-check any plants your dog will have access to (indoors or out).
If all your dog wants for Christmas is 100 percent organic, vegan, limited-ingredient dog treats, you're in luck! Samples of our signature pumpkin-peanut butter treats are currently available at Subherban Livin (10 Jim Gallagher Way in Simsbury) ahead of our official launch in January. Humans can eat these cookies too, so you can leave some out for Santa as well!

Before there was Bader, there was Coco. Adopted Dec. 4, 2004, from a shelter in Shelton, she belonged to our owner Sarah until June 10, 2020, when she died after a year-long struggle with kidney disease. Her favorite things were Velveeta (she was decidedly not vegan), hiking in New Hampshire, riding in the car and sitting on her mommy's lap. Sarah misses her every day. 🌈💔

Now that the holiday season is officially here, many people will be thinking about giving a companion animal as a gift. Dogs and cats can be a 10- to 20-year commitment, and one study estimates pet ownership to cost on average $1500 per year. Many of these companion animals are surrendered to shelters and rescue groups by February. Tell us in the comments: Do you think it's OK to give a pet as a gift?
