Janeissa Maine Coons A small dedicated hobby breeder located in the heart of the midlands. It was love at first sight and from then on I was hooked on Maine C***s.

My love for all things cute and fuzzy started long ago with a Russian Blue called Natasha that I met when visiting Val Price of Sashova. After breeding and showing these for a time I met my first Maine C**n, Sam, a red mackerel bred by Lesley Price, at a cat show in Durham. I bred and showed Maine C***s throughout the late 80's and into the 90's with GCCF. The slump took its toll and despite my hu

sband and I earning well in full time jobs, the toll and costs of having 3 children under the age of 5 and inflated costs of living meant I had to take a break from breeding. Our last retired queen from Tony and Yvonne Wilcox: Wilful Honeychile (Honey) sadly passed at the grand age of 18 in 2009. In 2004 we had welcomed Bhanacoyne New Moon (Sam the second - a red mackerel MC that we came across by chance) into our mix - so he was an only child for a few years. We felt that it was time in December 2012 to bring another Maine C**n into our family and that brought us Hugo, a stunning classic brown tabby with white. For us, he has it all, looks, charm and the most wonderful personality. We often call him the therapy cat, he has the most adorable sixth sense and knows exactly what’s wrong, what hurts and what to lay on to fix it. He will regularly lay on you laptop to tell you to stop working in the evenings or insist on sitting on your feet if they are sore. Because Hugo is such a wonderful gentleman and he has done so very well in the show arena in both the TICA and FIFe world, we have decided to take the plunge and start breeding again. Slowly we are starting to find girlfriends for Hugo, our first is Chantilly crème (Tilly) a real love match and both Hugo and Tilly liked nothing more than playing chase around the house at dawn and dusk and anytime in between and then cuddling up together as kittens However now the gang are separated Tilly now prefers to purr so loudly during cuddle time it often amounts to a soggy lap and a very wet chin for Tilly! Another new addition is Fergie, aka The Princess, who was the only baby in her litter and is a delightful diva, and a Queen in waiting. She is the first to the food bowls and will even take on Sam to get in first for her wet food dinner or even the warm spot in the cat bed! We also have two lovely baby's from Germany Sasha, who is a real clown and as the baby of the group considers herself 'non-conformist' and prefers to do the most un-mainecoony things to keep us on our toes, and finally Phoebe, the loudest of the group is always purring chirruping or singing away at the birds cats or even us if we will listen. Lots of love Janiessa Maine C***s
