ElleVet

ElleVet The only CBD + CBDA product proven to work in multiple clinical trials Why h**p and why dogs? It’s a question we hear often.

Our answer is, there is nothing more rewarding to us than innovating to help animals. We saw a way to do that work by developing an effective new product to support dogs without submitting them to harmful side effects. This mix of scientific curiosity and compassion was the inspiration for ElleVet Sciences. Our combined backgrounds in science, business, and animal and human diagnostics reflects ou

r dedication to animals and goal of bettering their quality of life through scientific inquiry and innovation. There is a growing body of anecdotal evidence supporting h**p as an effective treatment in both the animal and human sphere, but we wanted hard evidence about why it works, if it works and how it works. This led us to partnering in a clinical trial with veterinarians at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. The results of that study earned the overwhelming enthusiasm of the vets and the study’s dog owners. Seeing people moved to tears by their dogs’ return to more happy and active lives confirmed our belief that we can help pets live their best lives. As science-focused founders, our strength and our success came by developing a product based on the scientific and objective insight our research and the Cornell study provided. As pet owners and animal lovers, we are moved by the joy and increased health of our dog customers and their owners, inspiring our ongoing mission to create supplements that support the health and well being of the pets we love.

We owe a huge thank you to our community who supported our partner, The Street Dog Coalition, by donating and spreading awareness about SDC’s mission this past Giving Tuesday.

We asked The Street Dog Coalition for one thing they would like our community to know about their work:

“We believe that no one should have to choose between caring for themselves and caring for their pets. Our mission is to provide free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing homelessness, ensuring that these beloved animals receive the care they deserve.”

Partnering with The Street Dog Coalition is truly an honor, and we’re just getting started.

Together, we’ll keep supporting pets and their people, preserving the human-animal bond in our communities. Be sure to follow The Street Dog Coalition on social media for more updates!

Over the years, The Street Dog Coalition and the ElleVet Project have provided free veterinary care to thousands of pets of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

This Giving Tuesday, join us in supporting SDC's mission by following the Street Dog Coalition on social media, volunteering at a local street clinic, or making a donation. Visit www.thestreetdogcoalition.org/how-to-help to donate or learn more.

$25 covers vaccines, de-worming, and a month of flea/tick/heartworm prevention for a pet.

$50 enables microchip implantation and registration for up to six pets.

$100 provides compassionate end-of-life care for one pet.

Larger donations cover spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and flea/tick/heartworm treatment for several pets a year.

Behind each SDC clinic, there’s someone organizing veterinarians and support staff, coordinating locations, and gathering the lifesaving supplies needed. SDC hosts multiple clinics across the country each week, bringing critical care to pets who need it most.

We’ve seen the power of the human-animal bond firsthand and know how essential it is to protect these relationships. This Giving Tuesday, we hope you’ll consider supporting The Street Dog Coalition and strengthening their impact nationwide.

Our partner, The Street Dog Coalition, hosts several pop-up clinics weekly across the US for pets of people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. During these clinics, pet owners receive a range of basic medical care services from vaccinations to spay-neuter vouchers. Beyond providing free veterinary care, SDC reduces the risk/spread of zoonotic diseases and prevents flea, tick, and heartworm outbreaks.

With the help of the ElleVet Project’s RV, The Street Dog Coalition is more mobile than ever, meeting people without access to transportation where they are.

In August, the team visited Asheville, North Carolina. See the pictures below to get a glimpse of SDC’s incredible work in action!

Everybody say "hi" to Shadow👋

"Shadow loves our morning walks and greeting all her friends in the neighborhood, canine and humans. In the house, she likes to play fetch with one of her soft squeaky balls.

A friend recommended ElleVet to me. Shadow is much more mobile and happy to walk a couple of miles a day. ElleVet has really improved her comfort level.

She just turned 11 in August. She is truly my heart dog." -Liz

The Street Dog Coalition and The ElleVet Project have served thousands of pets whose owners are facing homelessness over the years. Meet Chris, who attended a SDC clinic in Fort Collins, Colorado.

After his military service, Chris was experiencing PTSD. His dog, Precious, is who he credits for changing his life. Thanks to SDC, Precious received the essential veterinary care she needed. With Precious by his side, Chris found employment and now shares a safe home with her and his wife.

Chris’s journey demonstrates the power of the human-animal bond and the role we play in supporting these relationships. It’s an honor to work alongside The Street Dog Coalition to help people like Chris access the resources they need to lead fulfilling lives with their pets beside them.

One of our favorite updates to hear from our customers is when their pet starts acting like 'their old self' again. Meet Priscilla, a 10-year-old Terrier who started showing signs of stress.

"Priscilla is the most loving dog I’ve ever had. After 2-3 days of taking the ElleVet chews, she stopped shaking, and her ears were no longer stuck to the back of her head. She’s herself again, perfectly, perfect." -Lori

Thank you for sharing Priscilla's story with us, Lori! Give her a pet from all of us! 💜

“Henry is a gentle giant. Absolutely the most intuitive dog I have ever had, and his eyes are expressive and kind.

ElleVet was so highly recommended by the hospice veterinarian who is working with us that there was no question they were worth a shot. The Calm and Comfort chews have made such a tremendous difference...I find his mobility and decreased stress are most improved.

Mavis joined us when he was four, so they have been constant companions, and she has kept him young." -Sara

We're so glad to help Henry keep up with his little sister. 💜

In 2020, ElleVet Sciences launched The ElleVet Project, a nonprofit providing free, high-quality preventative and emergency medical care to pets of people experiencing homelessness.

With a shared vision that all pets and people deserve care, The ElleVet Project became a legacy sponsor of The Street Dog Coalition (SDC). Earlier this year, we handed the keys to the ElleVet Project’s RV over to The Street Dog Coalition. SDC currently has Street Teams in 60+ cities, and they can now reach rural areas where limited accessibility often prevents pets from getting care. With this partnership, we can help reach even more pets—and people—in need.

Learn more about SDC by visiting www.thestreetdogcoalition.org and stay tuned for more updates from the road. We are so grateful to partner with this incredible organization!

Litja is a 13-year-old Icelandic sheepdog. Like many dogs her age, joint discomfort was starting to slow her down...but not for long!

"Since using ElleVet, she has been able to be more active running around the perimeter of our garden, barking at squirrels, and watching my new puppy. She was initially grumpy with the puppy, but ElleVet helps her relax and be more playful." -Elizabeth

Sounds like Litja won't be retiring from squirrel or puppy patrol anytime soon. 💜

While we embrace all things spooky this week, there's one thing that can be truly frightening to pets—storms.

"Pepper is deathly afraid of bad weather. Even drops in barometric pressure can trigger a retreat to her favorite hiding spots. I’ve tried a number of solutions...ElleVet’s chews are the first product that seems to work.

Something I think I’ll keep on hand at all times!" -Helen

We're so glad we can support Pepper during those scary storms. If certain situations cause stress for your pup, our Calm & Comfort chews can help!

Our Story

Can h**p really help my dog? It’s a great question and one we hear often. Our answer is, yes, it can! We asked ourselves this question and after years of research, testing and trials, we realized that we could truly help pets that were in pain with a h**p for dogs product. There is nothing more rewarding to us than innovating to help animals. We saw a way to do this by developing an effective new pain product for dogs without submitting them to harmful side effects. This mix of scientific curiosity and compassion was the inspiration for ElleVet Sciences. Our combined backgrounds in science, business, and animal and human diagnostics reflects our dedication to animals and goal of bettering their quality of life through scientific inquiry and innovation. The results of that study were amazing and earned the overwhelming enthusiasm of the vets and the study’s dog owners. Seeing people moved to tears by their dogs’ return to more happy and active lives confirmed our belief that we can help pets live their best lives. As science-focused founders, our strength and our success came by developing a product based on the scientific and objective insight our research and the Cornell study provided. As pet owners and animal lovers, we are moved by the joy and increased health of our dog customers and their owners, inspiring our ongoing mission to create products that support the health and well being of the pets we love.

We are continuing to develop new products and have new clinical trials in the works, so stay with us on our mission to use h**p to help not only dogs but all animals.
