Kovu is a New Guinea Singing Dog (Canis Lupus Dingo) also known as the New Guinea dingo, Hallstrom dog, bush dingo, New Guinea wild dog, and singer. They are the oldest of the ancient breeds, dating back at least 4,000 years. They're DNA is unique from all other canidae. NGSD are anywhere from 12-18in. at the shoulders and weigh in at 20-31lbs. Most of them are light brown with black muzzels and w

hite points, neck/chest markings, but there is also a rare black and tan color. They are very flexible, and have unique behaviors. They toss their heads around when they are frustrated or want attention. They also sent rub on things with their necks. They have their own 'language' and prefer to greet face-to-face. These dogs do not bark like dogs, but have high pitched howls and yips. The NGSD are very intelligent. They have a high prey drive and are very focused. But they are gentle, and loving with with people, although they can be shy at first.
