Jackson
A once in a lifetime friend
October 11th, 2008 - July 1, 2025

There’s no one I would have rather spent the last nearly 17 years of my life with. My best friend. My companion. My purpose for many years.

What a hell of a ride and a life he lived. I loved every adventure, every walk, every snack, every nap, every vacation, every obnoxious bark, and every bit of chaos.

Jackson’s presence was a big one and I am already severely missing it. You did so good buddy. A little food mongrel until the end. No better way to go out than eating chicken and hot dogs until you peacefully laid your head down to nap.

I love you Jackson with all my heart and will miss you forever my little dude. Thank you for being my best friend. Life will never be the same without you but you certainly shaped mine in the best way.

Jackson is over photo shoots these days and he deserves his retirement (lol) but I have so many old photos I never used so I figured I’d share a throwback from December 2022. We still use our coats almost daily in the winter, especially this month so far we got a foot of snow last week! ❄️

Happy sweet 16th birthday to my best friend in the whole world 🐾 Jackson has been my sidekick and partner in crime for my entire adult life. This dog has gotten me through more than anyone could know.

Jackson has changed my life for the better in every way. He has taught me the value of patience, kindness, and unconditional love. He makes me smile every day and reminds me to live in the moment. It’s indescribable how much love my heart holds for this little creature of mine. He can also be the biggest pain in my butt and then have me cracking up over his antics the next minute. Cheers to 16 years buddy! 🥳

Gettysburg, PA

Jackson and Lola have posed in front of this door a few times through the years. You can see the bullet hole above Jackson. Jennie Wade or Ginnie Wade, was a resident of Gettysburg during the Battle of Gettysburg. At the age of 20, she was the only direct civilian casualty of the battle, when she was killed by a stray bullet on July 3, 1863.

Jackson has been going to Gettysburg since he was around 1 year old - the old boy is now nearing 16 and it still remains a favorite spot ☺️ (albeit a bit slower these days).

Happy Soon-to-Be Summer ☀️

Jackson says hi — we know it’s been a while but he’s just livin’ the good life 😌 He will be 16 in October and he’s got a lot of s***k left in him but his hearing and his vision isn’t the best these days 😩 He still enjoys lounging by the pool (and in it) and going for his daily walks and barking at me for food. I’ll try to get better at updating his Instagram— miss all of our friends!
