April Mae Kitty April Mae is one of Rancho Obi-Wan's many animal mascots. One night in May 2012 a wee kitten came to Rancho Obi-Wan. She was six weeks old.

Either she got separated from or was abandoned by her Momma. Around midnight she had made her way to our trash bins and started to cry. Steve's office window was open and since he was working late he heard her pitiful mews. He coaxed her out with a saucer of milk and was able to wrap her in an old shirt and set her on the porch for safety. In the morning the kitten was still there with infected ey

es, fleas and burs. We scooped her up, took her to the vet, got her fixed up and took her back home where she has proceeded to woo everyone who has ever met her. We gave her the birthday April 22nd and named her April Mae.

My Story

One night in May 2012 a wee kitten came to Rancho Obi-Wan. Either she got separated from or was abandoned by her feral Momma. Around midnight she had made her way to our trash bins and started to cry. Steve's office window was open and since he was working late he heard her pitiful mews. He coaxed her out with a saucer of milk and was able to wrap her in an old shirt and set her on the porch for safety. In the morning the kitten was still there with infected eyes, fleas and burs. We scooped her up, took her to the vet, got her fixed up and took her back home where she has proceeded to woo everyone who has ever met her. She was six weeks old. We gave her the birthday April 22nd and named her April Mae.
