⭐️⭐️STAR OF THE WEEK⭐️⭐️ Meet Hope who is a 4 month old French bulldog who is our star of the week! 12 days ago Hope was in a road traffic accident resulting in a broken leg, broken toes and soft tissue damage. Hope had to wear a stookie for a week so we could assess the damage and see whether we could save her leg. Hope’s injuries were too severe resulting in the need to amputate her leg. The procedure was carried out on Friday and she has since been back in and is doing really well! This little girly has been so brave and taken it all in her stride and team VVG thinks she is an absolute star!! ⭐️⭐️ Well done Hope!! 🩷
Little Roxy was in with us yesterday to get spayed. Such a sweet girl who loved lots of attention 💛
This little dude is Oban who was in getting castrated and microchipped yesterday. He was very content and happy chilling on his house and getting lots of attention from the team looking after him! He was looking very smart in his bow tie collar!

Notice for clients At the moment we still have a shortage of Kennel cough vaccines due to manufacturing issues. We can only give Kennel cough vaccines to dogs who are going in to kennels within the next 2 weeks Thank you
This is the gorgeous Tilly, an elderly girl that comes to see us regularly. She first presented with a sore back, stiff back legs and general grumpiness. She did not like being examined at all, with her swearing lots at our vets and refusing point blank to be handled or examined. However, we did what we could and after watching Tilly walk round the consulting room and being examined gently in her owners arms, we decided that Tilly might benefit from an injection that helps with arthritic pain. She has not looked back (pardon the pun) since! She got a new lease of life around the house, becoming playful again and jumping up onto her favourite places to snooze around the house. Tilly gets this injection on a monthly basis, and at today’s visit there wasn’t one swear word from Tilly girl at all! She is much more comfortable and slowly learning that we’re here to help her. Aggressive behaviour in cats can be a difficult situation for all involved. However, with patience and a few great tips from our clinical team on how to prepare for a visit to the vets (pheromone therapy, blankets to hide in, favourite snacks, sometimes a calming medication) we can normally help your cat feel less anxious about vet visits and examinations. Elderly cats should be examined every 6 months or so to ensure we catch the onset of any age-related illnesses as early as possible and treat accordingly. Tilly here is a great example of how we can help your pets to live their best life possible ❤️
Our Friday morning stars are all 6 of Penny’s beautiful JRT puppies, seen here getting their health checks, vaccinations and microchips. All of them were in fine fiddle and were super brave for vet Claire!
