We see it so much. Wonderful, well-meaning and compassionate people putting out totes to offer some shelter from the elements to outdoor cats. They will line their totes with a warm and cozy blanket or cat bed, thinking they are helping. This post cannot be shared enough.

Unfortunately this is very true for both cats and dogs. Creature Concerns has over 30 kittens/cats and 8 puppies/dogs looking for home. All are fixed and vaccinated. If interested in adopting please complete an application on our website. As always we can use donation to care for those in care and to continue the TNR program. Please spay and neuter your pets!

There is no "perfect home" looking for your already owned dog that:
•Is under socialized
•Can't be with other animals (dogs/cats/etc)
•Can't be with children
•Has medical issues
•Lacks training
•Is aggressive
Or any combination of the above...

Rescues are full, shelters are full, adoptions are at an all time low and people surrendering animals is at an all time high. No one will love or put more time into your animal than you. You already know and love your animal, other people do not. It's hard to come to terms with but there is no one out there looking to take on your project.

We had a great day for our Waynoka TNR program yesterday! 46 cats were spayed, neutered, and given Rabies vaccinations!
This can be very beneficial to help keep the feral cat population down with cats that can’t reproduce anymore.
We hope to continue this program with Waynoka and other surrounding communities! This is a donation based program, so please consider donating either directly to the clinic mentioning the TNR program when donating or to Creature Concerns.

Huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our bake sale at the Homecoming Parade. We received $389 in donations to help cover medical costs of kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs in our care.

If you weren't able to make it to our bake sale please consider making a donation. What a great 1st year! Please help us in thanking: Zook Veterinary Services for hosting our surgery days. Dr. Zook, Dr. Lynch, and Dr. Stewart for volunteering their time and expertise. Last but not least the community members who have donated to this program allowing us to purchase the traps, surgical supplies, Rabies vaccinations, and other items needed for the program.

This is so true. We have had some dogs for more the a year and currently have 23 cats/kittens in our care and are turning people away daily who need help. We need fosters, we need donations, we need loving families to adopt.

I can't say this enough: we are bursting! 😰
