Last night and straight into this morning was hectic to say the least.. V***n kidded at midnight with triplets, all DOE’S!!! One is retained, the others are spoken for.
Fast forward to 10am this morning…out pops 2D and 1B from Ivy! Chocolate gold doe is retained, cream doe is Reserved, buckling is pending too.

My does due in may are developing some very nice udders! Nelly and Moon (slides 1 & 2) are going to be first fresheners and so far, their udders are looking good. Moon's udder (slide 1) is particularly exciting. Her attachments and escutcheon width are everything I've been breeding towards. Aurora will be a 2nd freshening 6 year old, and I'm hoping to see some extra capacity in both her udder and body. Her first freshening udder had a perfect shape to it and was buttery soft. She was my easiest doe to milk. SURPRISE! I spent 9 hours in the car yesterday to head to SA and pick up these 2 week old bubbas! I have an absolute onslaught of babies due in one month’s time, but quite a lot of (mostly mobile) bookings before that, so these guys are going to be a wonderful and cuddly surprise for those bookings 🥰🥰.
We’re still working on upgrades to the farm at the moment so not doing anything on farm at present but I’ll keep you all updated and I can promise you’ll be very excited!

Closeups of Ramsey’s twin doelings!! 🐐 I loveee them! 💖 Also, Aluette kidded today with a single buckling - more photos when he dries off & we figure out what’s going on with his front legs…I’m thinking since Aluette is a small goat, he was probably super curled up in there and just needs some leg stretches to straighten himself out. She’s being a great first time mama!! He’s a super handsome, solid white buckling 🤍 - it’s only fitting (considering it’s ) that we name him… Voter! 🗳️

Macchiato update!! He is just about back to 100%! In the morning his eye seems to be a little bit bigger but goes down over the course of the day. The last month has been an emotional whirlwind. We’ve never really dealt with neurological issues in our herd so learning about all of the different things that could be causing his symptoms was so overwhelming - Polio, Listeria, Meningeal Worms, Concussions/Head Trauma, etc. There were a couple of times we didn’t think he was going to pull through and honestly I feared for the rest of the herd because there were just so many unknowns. Just so crazy to think this poor guy somehow got a concussion and couldn’t even walk without falling over or crashing into walls/other objects but now here he is, in full blown stinky rut like it never even happened!! ❤️

What would you name her?🐮🐐🤔 This precious dwarf goat we’ve been calling “cow girl”, is currently in therapy goat training. We’ll spend 100’s of hours socializing & loving her. Our therapy goats just as sweet as her, are at wellness centers & farms across the country. Many times we travel to our clients locations to consult on how to create adorable goat cottages & their own dream farms or wellness centers. Today a special client is flying to our farm to pick up therapy goats for a wellness center in TN. We know they’re going to have the best lives! 🧘‍♀️💗 Now to figure out what we should name her❓🐮🐐 details on our therapy goats, consulting & boutique farm. ☺️
