In the quiet comfort of our home, amidst the whirlwind of life’s unforeseen storms, a little miracle unfolded—Pepper and Ginger, our cherished toy poodles, embarked on an unexpected journey of love and life. It was during our darkest days, shadowed by profound loss and the grip of sorrow, that the pitter-patter of tiny paws began to echo through the halls, a tender reminder that life, in all its forms, marches on.
From the chaos of Ginger’s untamed heat cycles emerged a bustling brood of twelve, each a tiny beacon of hope. Though we found homes for four, our hearts, heavy with grief, could not bear to part with the rest. Fate, however, had other plans, and we bid a tearful farewell to Hopper, the bouncy soul lost to nature’s cruel twist, and Lucky, whose name belied his struggle with diabetes.
Now, six remain, each a unique thread in the tapestry of our healing. This page is a tribute to their indomitable spirits:
Pepper, the ball-chasing dynamo, whose relentless pursuit of play ignites our smiles.
Ginger, the independent spirit, whose growls are but love songs for solitude.
Boots, the embodiment of a lap dog, whose tender whines speak of a need for closeness.
Rudy, the kibble connoisseur, who finds joy in the simple pleasure of a meal served his way.
Sable, the gentle recluse, whose quiet presence is a soothing balm, and whose time to find a forever home draws near.
And Joy-Joi, the tiniest of all, whose magpie-like bark is a whimsical melody that dances in the air.
Together, they weave a narrative of resilience, their antics a daily dose of laughter, their care a labor of love. In their eyes, we find solace; in their play, we rediscover joy. They are not just pets; they are our companions on the journey back to light, our six little guardians who teach us that even in the aftermath of tragedy, love paws its way through.
Facing the possibility of sounding needy, I must share that we have six toy poodles and our resources to care for them are dwindling. It seems inevitable that we'll soon start rehoming our cherished companions who have grown up here. In response, I've crafted a plan to involve my Toy Poodle Puppy community and animal enthusiasts at large to increase traffic to my new website. I've been diligently working to elevate my Be Smart Computing business locally in Big River, but search engine optimization (SEO) progresses slowly, finances are tight and advertising dollars are currently non-existent. In any case, here's another update unrelated to toy poodles, focusing entirely on technology. And just so you know, I plan to discuss smart technology for our furry friends shortly, so keep an eye out.

Well we haven't posted in awhile, I'm still busy fixing the house for these animals. Lol! Happy birthday to me to give Joy-Joi a fresh summer haircut.

About a half hour ago we lost "Lucky." She was a wonderful animal, quiet and always crawled delicately on my chest; from the side. Unlike the other dogs. LOL. She was one of my favorite to groom, patient and tough. She always fought "Ginger" for female dominance. They got into some matches too. She got her namesake over the simple fact that she was lucky we found her. The first of 3 from our last litter from Ginger, we discovered that Ginger had jumped out of the whelping box to have her litter upstairs under our bed. She dropped Lucky somewhere downstairs and was discovered behind some furniture.
Anyway we took her to the vet concerning a large growth that just simply appeared as if overnight. It turned out to be really bad infection. We also found out she was diabetic. She was a sick little girl. Despite the constant care and nursing, she simply couldn't hold on. RIP, Lucky.

On the heels of crippling depression, fear and anxiety, we humbly ask for help. We have been unable to secure mortgage help with the state of California and circumstances beyond our control have put us in quite a pickle. And even now, I am putting a job I need to do on hold so that I can write and ask kind folks to please help us out. We have tried selling property but the folks at 247 homebuyers backed out. Of course they did. So the day after tomorrow, our home is going up for auction. In San Bernardino County. Fun. Anyway, every chance I get, I will be grooming one of our dogs live. I've been neglecting them some in the grooming department because I've been busy trying to re-establish some jobs. (I work I.T. as an independent contractor and work on copy machines and other things). But my truck's differential went out during COVID. I've been driving on it but I cannot anymore. I'm rambling. I'll answer any questions. Please, folks, we need some help. Dee please don't be upset that I'm asking kind folks for help.

This is probably the best food yet I've done four our motley crew of 8. It's basmati rice (arsenic), sweet potato, pea and peanut for added proteins and chicken. All done in a strong bone broth. I added a tad of Basil, Oregano and Rosemary for aroma.

As hard as it is, I've never left any of our pets side during the end. It's impossible to believe anybody would. When Hopper got attacked by a rattler, I was with him to the end. He didn't die in a strange environment and he didn't die alone. 😢 How sad it is to be a vet, sometimes.

Dont let them die in a room with a stranger in a place they dont like. It is very painful for veterinarians to see how pets cannot find their owner during the last minutes of their life. They dont understand why the owner left them. After all, they needed their owner’s consolation.
Veterinarians do everything possible to ensure that animals are not so scared, but they are completely strangers to them. Don't be a coward because it's too painful for you. Think about the pet. Endure this pain for the sake of their sake. Be with them until the end.”

Occasionally, I cook up a batch of tasty human food for our nine toy poodles. This recipe I've actually eaten myself. It calls for ground beef, rice, potato or yam (I prefer yam) carrots, parsley or cilantro, turmeric and basil.

Reminiscing on Saturday: Our first baby toy poodle was smart as a whip. He would fetch, dance, play ball, all the SPT's. We named him "Snickers" and he was quite my "ride dog"; We took him everywhere and in true dog fashion, he would hang his cute but impossibly long tongue out the window. R.I.P., buddy. Your life was too short :(

Here they are. Don't know the sex of any yet but as you can see they are all black. We'll know soon if they start to show any other colors. All are doing fine & will see the vet on Monday to get tails docked & dew claws removed.

I'll also post how many babies she has with photos & take deposits at that time.
