Our Story
Vetlicious was started out of necessity.
As a small animal veterinarian of twenty years I have seen many pet's ailments and overall health improve after switching to a home cooked diet. This has been especially true when changing to elimination and low allergy diets.
However I also saw a lot of pet owners frustrated and overwhelmed by trying to provide a truly balanced diet - that is a diet that contains the correct amount of vitamins and minerals.
The options that were available were either too expensive, too complex or not readily accepted by the pet. Owners were easily discouraged and would eventually give up and not continue with the prescribed diet.
