We are a small family operated farm in Eaton Rapids, Mi. Our main focus used to be show quality rabbits, as well as custom farming, but our focus has shifted slightly. We are slowly trying to grow the livestock portion of our farm each year by offering different high quality home grown meat.

The chickens always come running when we get home because they know the tiny human usually throws them snacks. This time is a burger bun and each rooster stole half to try to get the hens to come home at with them 😅

We started a gofundme to help raise money to buy supplies to take to the Orphaned Calf Relief group in a couple of weeks. We want to leave the 23rd, so not much time.

Some of you may have heard about the wildfires ripping through Texas. In their path are unfortunately cattle ranches. The orphaned calf relief is made up of people who are willing to take in orphaned calves, many burnt/injured and nurse them back to health until the rancher has time to get their feet back under them. Some of these calves could very well be the last that generations of hard work has to show.

One of their biggest needs is milk replacer, which isn’t cheap and will be the largest expense (if you know of a cheaper source, please let me know)

We are also hoping to be able to buy plenty of vet wrap, corona ointment (for burns), needles, syringes and other supplies that they have said are needed. Even if it’s $1 or a share, you can help us make this trip to help our brothers and sisters out in Texas.

As some of you may have heard, wildfires are ripping across Texas, burning over a mi… Alisha Abbott needs your support for Texas Wildfire Orphaned Calf Relief

Happy New Year! We are starting out 2024 with a bang... and a giveaway! This is for all those kids that have wanted to show a hog at a 4H fair but haven't yet. For several years now, we've been selling to 4H kids. Our goal has been to provide a healthy, quality pig at a reasonable price. This year, we are looking to give a kid a chance to be a first-time hog showman. Maybe you're already showing a small animal and want to expand, or even if you've been showing a calf or lamb. Or maybe this is your very first time showing an animal at all.
So, if you or your child is interested in a piglet to raise, train, love, and take to fair, please send us a letter. In your letter, please explain why you want to show a hog, if you are currently in a 4H program, and what you hope to gain from the experience. Letters should be mailed to:
Murray Farms
2490 N Smith Rd
Eaton Rapids, MI 48827
Letters should be postmarked by January 22, 2024. The winner will be announced on February 1st.
Feel free to share!
Good luck!

Our Story

ARBA Registered Rabbitry est. 2002 (formally Wessel’s Waskly Wabbits) Owned by Alisha & Mathew Abbott. Our goal is quality over quantity. We currently breed and show Havana rabbits in all 5 colors, along with a small herd of Himalayan and Amber Mini Rex. Alisha is an ARBA licensed Registrar and is working on getting her judging license.

Aside from the rabbits, we also raise chickens (both egg layers and meat), and recently just purchased Holstein Heifer calf for milk production down the road. In the future we hope to have fresh farm raised meat available for purchase such as chicken, pork, and beef.
