As you can see, this Millville Fox wasted no time exiting his carrier, probably very happy to be home

This guy was with us since December 22nd and he went home to Millville this week. He was very lucky that the homeowners let him sleep in their garage until I was able to get there and capture him.

Thank you to Matt Smith for taking the time to make phone calls and wait for this injured raccoon in Little Egg Harbor to be transported to us by John Caporuscio. If you see an animal or human that could use a little help, don't leave it up to others but get involved and make someone's day a little brighter, you might be surprised it could even be yours.

You can thank this person for spreading more negativity about Wildlife Aid, without any proof of their ridiculous accusations, for the person in Pennsylvania not getting any help with her outside cats. She reached out to us and we tried to help her but Jasmine decided to make her thoughts known rather than help this person. So thank you Jasmine for putting your money where your mouth is as they say. Maybe you could help that lady in Pennsylvania? No I didn't think so. So the post below this will be deleted.

Finally release day for these three lucky Fox after I promised them as soon as the Arctic blast is over they will get their freedom. While this is a great day for them, it also comes with some reluctance wondering how they will face the perils of being wild. They go home to Somerdale, Cherry Hill and Moorestown by way of An Itch In Time.

We haven't posted recently, the first reason is because this is a slow time of year typically. And the second reason is we have many Fox here from Cape May County, Camden County, and Cumberland County. They are in various stages of recuperation and some are ready for release. But we just can't do that when the snow on the ground is ice and the temperatures are going to be below normal. So these poor but lucky Fox are going to have to be here a little longer, which is not something they or I like. When release day comes we will post pictures. Let's hope it's not in July.

Voorhees and Somerdale went home yesterday thanks to An Itch In Time trapping them in December and transferring to Wildlife Aid for rehab. Considering the temperatures this time of year we often have to release before we normally would and just let them finish growing fur which should happen pretty quickly when it's chilly out

This is Ocho. Ocho lives in my bathroom and hangs out on my orchid plant. Every day I soak a Q-Tip in water and put it down for him wherever he is (on the plant or behind the toilet or on the vanity) and he comes running over and gets a drink. Was my first reaction to smash him? Nope. To flush him down the toilet? Nope. To “burn it to the ground”? Nope. He’s literally a fraction of my size. I could easily kill him, but I choose to be kind. He deserves to be on this earth as much as I do. In fact, he contributes way more to the natural order of life on earth than I do. It’s so easy to choose kindness. I encourage everyone to take a moment and make sure the language you use when it comes to spiders, insects, rodents, etc. is kind and not fearful or disgusted. None of these beings are pests or threatening. Let them be. Help them if you can. Be kind. It’s so simple. 🕷️🕸️✌🏻🌱💜☀️

I just had to share this really great release of Baron, named by An Itch In Time, back at his home in Southampton. We all thought he was a really special boy and this video shows how calm he is. Sometimes releasing an animal can be sad because we don't know what their future holds. We hope little Baron lives a long and happy life and we told him he can always come back if he needs us.

Two more lucky Fox going home today thanks to An Itch In Time trapping them. They have been at Wildlife aid for over 4 weeks but now they get their freedom. Once again we hope our efforts will give them a long and healthy life. One is going to Southampton and one is going back to Sicklerville.

This very lucky boy had people that cared about him and let him come into their heated garage through the cat door. They contacted us and asked what could be done to help him. Even though he was located 45 minutes away in Millville, being able to confine him in this garage was worth me making the trip. So after chasing him around a little bit he went to a window thinking he could get out. I'm not as fast as I used to be, but I got lucky and was able to get a net on him and put him in a carrier. He's one of the nicest little guys we've had and immediately starts eating when I put the food in his cage. He does not make any mess and is just happy to be warm and safe and on the road to recovery. When he is healthy, he will go back home.

Thank you Tracie Phy for waiting almost an hour in the cold for me to arrive and get this poor fox with mange out of the igloo which was under the boardwalk in Atlantic City. Unfortunately, sometimes these animals are beyond saving and that was the case with this poor boy. We only wish we could help them all but what we do just seems like a drop in the bucket. I remember reading once that our efforts don't help all but they do help the one and we have to be happy with the ones that somehow hit the lottery and are caught in time.
