Adoption update! Bourbon is loving life in his forever home and has already become best friends with his new big brother! His family says he’s obsessed with anything that rattles—and has a funny habit of swiping socks and parading them around the house. 😸 We’re so happy for Bourbon and his wonderful new family! 🧦💛

It’s that time of year again — FALC’s “For Cats’ Sake” Annual Art Auction is coming up on October 25th, and we’re calling on all artists to help make it a success!

🎨 Whether you paint, draw, sculpt, make jewelry, or create in your own unique way — we need you! Your art can help raise funds to support cats in need.

🖼️ Art donations can be dropped off at Fat Cat Cafe, and as a thank-you, all donors will receive two free tickets to the auction event!

🎨🐾 It’s that time of year again… our beloved “For Cats’ Sake” Art Auction is this fall, and we’re looking for artists to join us in supporting a great cause!

Donate an original piece of art to help raise funds for Feline Advocates of Leon County, a local rescue dedicated to saving the lives of homeless and injured cats and kittens, and educating our community on the importance of spay, neuter, and feline welfare.

🐾 Behind the Whiskers: Meet Lindsey! 🐾

Lindsey’s journey began in 2018 after a visit to Fat Cat Café sparked a passion for rescue. She started as a staff member, later joining our board and doing it all! Fostering, working at the café, transporting, vaccinating, you name it!

Though she now lives in Texas and works in the vet field, Lindsey still serves on our board. She manages the café social media and supports adopters through our adoption committee. 💻❤️

Her favorite part? Watching transformations, like her own foster fail, Demi, a blind kitten she helped through surgery and then adopted. Now Demi’s thriving and so loved.

Lindsey says rescue work is life-changing for the cats and for us: “Seeing a once-fragile kitty safe, content, and deeply loved—and knowing you helped make that bond happen—is the most rewarding feeling in the world.”

Thank you, Lindsey, for your years of heart, grit, and love. 💜

Every year during Pride Month, we honor the values at the heart of both the LGBTQIA+ community and animal rescue: love, respect, and pride, with a special themed litter of kittens.

This year, meet our fabulous trio:
🎤 Bono (aka Pride) — bold, curious, and ready to strut into your heart.
💙 Franklin (Respect) — a gentle kitten with a calm presence and a soothing purr.
❤️ McCartney (Love) — affectionate, playful, and a total cuddle magnet.

These kittens remind us that everyone deserves a safe home, to be loved exactly as they are, and to be celebrated for what makes them unique. 🏳️‍🌈

Our Story

Wanting to deliver a unique experience to the Tallahassee community, Fat Cat Cafe Tallahassee officially opened its doors in August of 2017.

From the start, our mission has always been, and always will be, about giving cats a second chance at life. By partnering with local rescue organizations, we’re able to save kitties from all walks of life and give them a fresh start at Fat Cat Cafe. These cats are then housed at our cafe, all patiently waiting to meet you and find their new furever home.

Our cafe side of things offer an eclectic boutique (full of gifts for cat lovers) and delicious coffee and teas, all available for your enjoyment while you cozy up to our residents.
