We see this a lot... pet parents searching for a pet sitter or dog walker, but the first comment is: "I'm looking for someone who doesn't charge an arm and a leg..."

When you consider the pet-care experience and specialized training professional pet sitters and dog walkers have and the customized care they provide, these pet-care professionals are worth FAR MORE than they charge.

Of course, you have to work within your budget, but lowest price does not mean the best option—and professional pet-care providers should be fairly compensated.

These toads are bad bad bad.

The large and deadly Cane Toad (AKA Bufo toad) makes me worry every time I let Brody out in the back yard. As we move through spring and head towards summer, Bufo Toads will become more active. If your pet encounters and interacts with a Cane toad the impacts will be almost immediate. They release a toxin, and if your dog tries to bite it or carry it, they can become sick and die in as little as 15 minutes without proper treatment. Some of the symptoms to watch for are:
Excessive Drooling
Convulsions
Reddened gums
Head Shaking
Loss of Coordination Follow these steps to treat:
Wash toxins forward out of the mouth using a hose for ten minutes, being careful not to direct water down the throat.
Wipe gums/tongue with a dish towel to remove toxins.
Get your pet to the vet! These toads should be humanely killed. which is recommended by FWC. Since these are an invasive species, they do not have any place in our ecosystem.

1. Bring all pets inside.
2. Exercise your pets early on, so they are sleepy.
3. Feed your pets so they have a full belly.
4. Administer prescribed medication before fireworks start, so the meds have time to work.
5. Turn on music. Close blinds. And make sure your pet is surrounded by all their favorite things.

This is a comparison between the sidewalk and street temps currently! It's way too hot to be walking dogs in this heat!! All mid day dog walks have been cut down to only as long as it takes for them to potty and we need to keep them in the grass or yard only to potty. If it's too hot for you to walk around barefoot, then it's too hot for their paws. (The lower temp is the sidewalk and the higher one is the street) 30 minute dog walks will ONLY be accommodated early mornings or evenings.
