🛑 Formal Training Can Wait 🛑

Your puppy isn’t mature enough to accomplish what you’re hoping! Instead of spending your time and money on puppy training, get through the main puppy phases like potty training and teething with our tips and tricks. Once your puppy is around the 5-6 month mark is when it’s best to start formal obedience training. It only takes one bad interaction as a puppy to cause reactivity and anxiety in your puppy, so believe us when we say; just wait!

6 months ago the doors to the Greenville location of K9 Control Training opened. Since then we have conducted over 85 free evaluations and trained 43 dogs (that’s not including our current training dogs and our waiting list)! **Foster to ADOPTED!**🤍 “I am so thankful to Hannah and the K9 Control Charleston crew for setting Archie up for a happy and safe life! Archie is a male yellow lab with a traumatic past, lots of anxiety, and energy that I was fostering through a local rescue - Hannah worked diligently with him to help him cope with his anxiety and learn commands and most importantly -BOUNDARIES- to keep both of us safe when in public (and keep me sane at home 😜). The overall transformation in this dog from the hard work, patience, and dedication of the K9 Control staff, and especially Hannah, led to me officially adopting Archie. We are very happy together exploring all the Lowcountry has to offer 😎 a simple “thank you” does not describe my appreciation!” That is the K9 Control Training difference 🎯

Meet Egypt! 🌟He’s a 7 month old American pit bull who came to us with a lot of puppy energy needing a positive direction to take all of his excitement. Tomorrow he graduates his 4 week training camp. So excited to show his human how much he has learned & how to maintain his skills at home and while out on the town! 🎓✨❤️

Meet Uru. She’s in our 4 week program and is rocking it! She came to us displaying behaviors of anxiety and being generally over the top. Now, she is well on her way to becoming a fabulous dog with the best manners. We are so excited for her owner to experience the difference! 🏆

🐾 5-Star Review | “K9 Training was the best decision we’ve made for our 3 year old husky, Atticus Bleu. We were always so fearful of taking him out in public due to him trying to start fights with other dogs and trying to run after any other animal he saw. Now we can easily take him off leash and allow him to play fetch without the fear of him running off. Thank you DeAndre, who did amazing with Atticus. He had answers for any questions or concerns we had and was available for a follow up a couple of weeks after Atticus got out of training.⁣ The group classes are very informative and fun. They recognized Atticus at our first group class and made sure everything was going okay with his training by giving us tips on what we needed to focus on with his training at home. It was a great first time to see how he does in a park full of other dogs. Thanks again DeAndre and his K9 team!”

⭐️ 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 | “K-9 Control Trainers are miracle workers! I wish we had brought our boy in sooner. We have a 2 year old 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗼 who was very skittish and afraid of people and pretty much any object that was new to him. We struggled to socialize him, but his anxiety was getting to be a little scary because of his size. I am so glad we made the decision to have K9 Control help us train him and work with him to become a more confident dog. It is honestly the best money I've spent. He came back very well trained and we have been thrilled with his transformation. A dog that used to hide and bark or growl at friends that came to our house listens and even approached one of our friends with his tail wagging. This would have never happened. Our house was complete chaos and we usually would have to crate him for safety when anyone was over. 𝗗𝗲𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲 was his trainer. We absolutely loved him and so does Biff. He kept us updated every step of the way with photos and videos. I could tell that he really cared for him and Biff trusted him which meant a lot to us. “I am so incredibly happy with the decision we made to use K9 Control. Hannah(s) did an absolutely amazing job answering all of my family's questions and providing updates throughout the process. The professionalism and knowledge was above and beyond expectations.

When we decided to adopt one of my fosters from the Georgia Doberman Rescue, I wanted to find a training facility that knew the personality and special characteristics that make the doberman such a special dog.

The idea of a 4 week board and train was intimidating, especially with my pup's handicaps stemming from a broken leg as a puppy and her lack of socialization from months of recovery that followed.

Those worries were relaxed upon meeting the K9 Staff at the consultation. The team was awesome at providing tweaks to the training to accommodate her needs and she is absolutely loving life.

The follow up has been outstanding, answering questions and teaching us how to utilize the training methods - even the toddlers are picking up on it. Thank you so much!”

🎸🐾Tomorrow March 25th the Lowcountry’s Dog-Friendly Music Festival is back: 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗳𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹. The all-day, family-friendly and dog-friendly music festival will feature live music, food trucks, and vendors. Woofstock will also have adoptable puppies and dogs from ten local rescue groups and shelters. The festival will take place at the 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 & gates open at 𝟭𝟭:𝟬𝟬𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝟳 𝗽𝗺. We love this event because Woofstock benefits 𝟭𝟬 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲𝘀: Pet Helpers, Dorchester Paws, Berkeley Animal Center, Eunoia Rescue, Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary, Waters Edge Great Dane Rescue, Libby and Mace’s Place, All 4 Paws, Save the Clefts, and Carolina Boxer Rescue.
