Cora showed up as a stray at a horse barn in N. Worth, Texas. She had recently had puppies, and was in great condition but very skittish. The Barn People reached out to all vets in the surrounding area and looked on lost and found groups...nothing on Cora which was not surprising...she was dumped. :(
Cora was taken to the Ft. Worth shelter where she was spayed and tested for heartworms, a test wh
ich unfortunately came back positive. She was rescued just in time from this shelter by Teena ReNay Ferguson-Plona. Cora has suffered obvious abuse at the hands of a woman, and as a result is very afraid of women. Teena has made very good progress with her, showing her that there are some women who can be trusted. Cora also gets along very well with Teena's pack! Cora has had a rough start in life, to say the least, and she has a long, difficult road ahead of her. The first priority is to get her started on treatment for the heartworms, which is outrageously expensive! ANY donation, no matter how small or how large, is desperately needed and greatly appreciated! Please, please DONATE at www.paypal.com, acct. [email protected]. Spread the word! Cora is also in need of a loving, furever home, and while she's looking for that, she needs a loving foster home. Teena would like to keep her, but she just has too many furkids already. She was kind enough to rescue her and save her life, and she has helped her get over her fear of women. It is now time for Cora to move on, and start the next chapter of her life. If you have room in your heart and in your home for her, please let us know...either by message on this page, or Carrie Young's or Teena ReNay Ferguson-Plona's pages. Meanwhile, PLEASE donate to Cora's care at www.paypal.com, acct. Thank you and bless you.
