EVERYONE MEET RICKY!!
Isn’t he the most chilled and handsome guy🥰
This is a short but real life story, which we hope will encourage feline owners to get their cats microchipped.
So, Ricky disappeared in March from his loving home in Drumlegagh. His owners were devastated and although they searched far and wide, they couldn’t find Ricky anywhere. Eventually they gave up, fearing the worst. Luckily for Ricky, his owners were ahead of the game and had him microchipped, even though it’s not yet a legal requirement in N.Ireland.
3 weeks later and miles away from his home, Ricky was found by a member of the public injury and wound free. They brought him into their local vets where a quick scan was carried out and this allowed Ricky to be reunited with his owners. A happy ending but unfortunately not every cat is as lucky as Ricky. Be more like Ricky’s owners and get your cat microchipped!

Nematodirus warning ⚠️
The larval hatch is forecast to occur in the north west currently; and as such, lambs are predicted to require their first dose around the 3rd-4th week of April.

AFBI wishes to advise sheep farmers of the likely risk of Nematodirus worm infection in young lambs, currently occurring at this time of the year.

We presented our 2 chosen charities Age NI and Jigsaw Donegal with the proceeds from our Christmas Hamper Draw. They were delighted to receive the fantastic amount of £1000 each, which will be used to help young and old people in our local community.
