This is the way some of my hounds deal with 108° temperatures.
What do yours do?
THIS is the "morning silliness" I was trying to post yesterday. 😂
Clifford (Ikrek), Inci, and Imre
A short video of 3 of the brothers. I'm still learning how to do selfies, so ... certainly not a professional video!😄 These boys are looking for their forever homes!
Hi guys! You may (or may not) have noticed that for many months I haven't been posting as much as usual. It's because I am overwhelmed with the care of all the dogs. If you've been following this page for more than a year you'll remember that back in March of 2022 I broke my arm & tore wrist tendons which required surgery. This event was the snowflake that grew to an avalanche that has buried me financially AND physically.
I am now desperately needing to find appropriate homes/owners for many of my dogs.
Yes, there will still be an application process, and if accepted, a rehoming fee but it will be drastically reduced.
If you (or someone you know has) have been seriously considering adding a dog to your family and would like to talk to me about the breed please email me at [email protected].
These are purebred and come from Champion bloodlines. (Ardo, grandsire, was in a show this last Sunday, and as there were no other 10 year olds to compete against, he was put in a class with 6 year olds - AND was awarded Reserve Best In Show Veteran!! By an International judge, no less!) Parents and grandparents are on site. I have a variety of personalities and temperaments in various stages of training. Meeting the dogs and basically letting them choose you is the absolute best way. I'm going to attempt to add other videos to this post - but seeing as I'm SO FB technically challenged, they may have to be in several posts. Also, forgive the newbie selfie videos. Besides the aforementioned technical challenges I don't have the dexterity I used to have before hand/arm injuries.
Thank you for spreading the word and for all your support throughout the years.

Ok, I am so technically challenged! I thought I was recording a live feed showing the dogs snoozing while waiting for our next class and now I'm checking it and it isn't what I thought I was recording 🤦♀️🤦♀️
So. Ardo, Felso. and newcomer Inci, showed at IABCA-International All Breed Canine Assoc., Inc. in Dixon, CA.
Shuey (Felso) won Best in Show (BIS) Rare Breed Adult, Ardo took a Reserve BIS Veteran, and then as a family they won BIS Family Group. They performed really well in some hot weather and lots of waiting around. Proud of my boys! ❤🏅
Just a fun little video of some of the dogs before their dinner and settling down for the evening.

Yesterday morning we had very high winds ... and then we had this! Unusual for us to get this much snow. 😳😲 And it was cold enough that it stayed overnight. As you can see the dogs loved playing in it!
UPDATE: The pups passed with flying colors. They even got to give some puppy love to a FedEx driver that was having a difficult morning! And the ones that are flying to their new homes got their health certs & microchips and we're back home resting after their big adventure.
Doing the waiting game 😉
The pups are being SO good! Like they've done this every day of their short lives 😍
Good morning 🌞🌞
We're on the way to our vet appointment! 😊
A little bit of fun this morning 😊
Socializing with some young friends ❤
(...🎶 and they called it Puppy Love 🎶)
It's been "forever " since I've posted and so much has happened!
So. This first post is about history in the making.
Felso Royal Transylvanian Hounds is the FIRST Transylvanian Hound to pass his NACSW (National Association of Canine Scent Work) Odor Recognition Test (ORT)!!
Ages ago I started training with his father, Ardo. But life happened AND the trainer moved facilities much further away from me. Fast forward to this January. The kennel club about 45 minutes away from me advertised a beginning scent work class. We signed up for it and learned a bunch in the six weeks.
Then they put on a testing in Feb. I was so confident because he had done so well in class. BUT. WE CHOKED! 😫😥😫 Out of the 3 odors we tested on we failed each of them. 😭
I talked with the trainer later and then decided to re-take the beginning class just to cement what we both learned. SO. GLAD. I. DID!!
We went in to another testing in April and he was rock solid!
The video is our very first test ever - just to show what it's like. It downloaded dark so I hope you can see what's going on. Unfortunately the 2nd testing site didn't offer video services.
But I'm super proud of my boy and his accomplishment AND that once again the beauty and wonderfulness of the TH breed has been shown ❣
